I have always disliked Carmelo Anthony and this move makes us look like the Pistons trading for a delusional, waning Allen Iverson. Carmelo doesn't have the self-awareness to see how much his game has fallen off of a cliff or the desire to change his style to adjust to the modern NBA. Does Morey really expect him to get along with D'Antoni after how they clashed in New York? Melo is the opposite of D'Antoni's style and I expect this to go as well as Ty Lawson.
Everyone is forgetting that we haven't seen Melo play next to a competent point guard. EVERYONE sucks when they have to play next to Westbrook. CP3 / EG / Carter-Williams Harden / EG / Green / Melton Anthony / Anderson + 1st - Bazemore? / Green Tucker / Any SF Capela / Nene / Tucker when needed Everyone calm the eff down. Morey will acquire a defensive specialist by the trade deadline.
Smh Melo will have 30 and 40 point games playing off CP3 and Harden. Media will give all the credit to CP3 watch and mark my words.
Melo is a black hole on offense I know alot of Knick fans. Knick fans HATE him. They know him better than anyone.
"You see that player over there. He's our ticket to the promised land! We can ride that wave all the way home!" This does not represent the views of this particular poster and this is not an actual quote from Lando Calrissian.
Thought I would put this here in this thread......sucks we are desperate and have to get this bottom feeder -
I do not predict much success for Melo, but there really isn't a better option right now. Bring him in and hope it works out better than expected. As long as we have Harden, CP3, Capela, we have a shot.
LMAO, I can't believe this is the argument now for Melo. Let's add 1 made shot to everyone in the NBA and let's see what their percentage will be.
CP3 and Melo are good friends. That means they work out together in the gym all the time. That means they have a secret chemistry ready to be unleashed. Is anyone thinking what I'm thinking? "TOGA! TOGA! TOGA!"
that was the most nonsensical pro-Melo post I’d ever seen...it was even worse than arguing in favor of Melo’s defense by saying that he and Ariza had similar DRTGs when Melo’s DRPM was a -1.25 and Ariza had a +1.15 while guarding the opposing team’s best wing player every night
