The best player on the court tonight is that Alexander kid from the Clippers. His ability to drive and finish at the rim is amazing. Not saying he will be another Michelle of Jazz got last year, but he will be miles better than whatever we got in this summer team.
I think we need to open up a couple of spots on the roster for some guys here, Melton of course, but i think the Rockets should also sign Hartenstein, possibly with a 4 year deal, that would require to use another portion of the MLE though. Edwards finally looked good, i guess we'll sign him for three years, that's another spot. Give the 2-way contract to Duval and another guy.
I am so excited about next year!!!! The negative media is starting to come back(rockets perform better with a chip on their shoulder)!!!!!! **** the positive fake love press!!!
Finally, the Houston Rockets have a farm system... a couple of young players who have the potential to help us down the road. And we haven't even seen Gary Clark played yet.
His game is efficient, but its not pretty. Sue me bruh. I think he reminds people of Trevor here... which may be why people are wearing there rose glasses. He is not that impressive, Adel is a far better player and was not drafted. Its like the jazz threw a dart at a board and it landed on edwards face. He could eaisly be swaped for adel as the 53 pick. Wait til Cp3 is done with him in 4 years! :0
Can we have Ryno play for the Vipers ? I think he could really show out big there. Now, I'll take Edwards or Joe Chee (Qi) over Ryno. Neither are shy about shooting the 3. Has anyone told Ryno that you miss 100% of the 3's you don't take?
I understand what you are saying, but I do have to add the Jazz are one of the the best organizations when it comes to the draft in the league so I trust their darts thrown than most other teams in the league
Wow, Melton looked like a totally different player tonight (from a shooting perspective). Really excited by his progress in only three games--talking about shaking off the rust. Edwards looked decent as well.
DAnthony Melton reminds me a lot of Vernon Maxwell. His shooting form looks like Kenny Smith. His hands look like oven mitts when he shoots or steals the ball. Absolutely no Fear of full court passes, Keep on shooting mentality, plays great defense, definitely a ball hawk
Positives from Summer League 1) Danthony Melton improved throught the tournament. His first game was rusty. His second game he was better but inconsistent. His 3rd game he looked like the complete package. But his defensive abilities were evident in all 3 games. If he can become more consistent offensively, he could have a long nba career. 2) Zhou Qi also improved throughout the tournament. But to me it seemed like the light went on after game one. The intensity was more, and his court awareness improved. This guy is super talented. He seems to have really strong defensive instincts. Hes got a nice 3 pt shot/solid jump shot. If he keeps working he can become that new wave center who can protect the rim, guard guys in space and score from the post as well as with range. It was always gonna take 3 years to know what we have; he was raw coming in and bigs take time. But its clear theres been a lot of improvement. As i sit on the tarmac trying to get out of vegas (flight delayed), shout out to kim and Tinman. Fun watching the game with some clutch fans. We've got some young talent. Its been a fun time.
Wait a minute......you had fun watching the game with....Tinman??!!! Now I've heard it all. I kid, I kid.
