One step closer to SC siding with trump on indictment of a sitting president.

Fantastic pick of a brilliant man, a great judge, and a future great Justice. Kavanaugh is the type of intellectual leader who is perfect for the Supreme Court.

Listening to these small people harp on the Russian fantasy just reinforces how pathetic they truly are. They are grasping for straws that don't exist! Two years of innuendo and no proof, yet they still are convinced that news will break any minute now about Russia-Trump collusion! Really people? At what point do you just admit the Russian fantasy was a DNC-Media-Deep State effort to prevent and then remove Trump? Meanwhile Trump is STACKING SCOTUS with good, honest conservative people who will deliver decades of solid judgement. The libs chase their tail and get a good whiff of their own excrement meanwhile Trump is LOCKING IN conservative principles for decades. Advantage Trump.

    GOOD DAY

Not just the most extreme right wing selection, sure to attack women's rights, the ACA, and affirmative action, but also the one nominee that stated the president can't be indicted. Horrible pick. Not anywhere near a moderate or centrist. And trump continues to only pander to his base.

I thought I read he is pro Roe v Wade. May have been one of the others but thought it was him.

Pleased with this pick. Seems to be an America-First conservative and above all, consitutionalist. Kethledge & Hardiman both seemed a bit shaky on illegal immigration. None of those concerns with Kavanaugh.

Also should be a bit easier to get confirmed than Barrett.

Once Ginsburg goes, nominate Barrett. The Senate will be far more MAGA & Republican by that time. Easier confirmation.

Ginsburg could be the next to go, given her past health problems and her advanced age. But Sotomayor has diabetes and a history of health scares, and Kagan is a lesbian, and they tend to have shorter lifespans. Breyer hits 80 this year. By my advanced calculations, Sotomayor has a 10% chance of dying or becoming incapacitated in the next 2 years, Ginsburg has a 30% chance, and Breyer has a 15% chance. Kagan has a 7% chance of suffering a heat stroke by forgetting her visor for the summer league softball games. If you add it up, it means that more likely than not, Trump will be adding a 3rd justice and the court goes to 6-3 conservative. In my opinion, that's just the delicious fondant icing on top of an already exquisite cake, given the 5-4 conservative domination that will exist as soon as my boy Kavs gets confirmed.

This is a pretty decent pick imo. Your typical vanilla conservative, but most likely won't make waves with his decisions.

    most likely will uphold R v W

You don't add up percentages for probability. From your own percentages(which you pulled out of your ass) for all three to occur, the probability would be .3*.15*.07 = .00315. So a .315% chance.

Edit: nvm. I read your post wrong. I thought you meant for all three to occur .

Republicans closer to their wet dream of dragging the country back to the 1950s! Good times!

America doesn't need all three to occur. America needs ONE to occur in order to restore conservative principles for the next 30-40 years. Let's dare to dream big!

I remember this same exact sediment seconds after Trump won the election. Republican Congress and Trump, marching us back to the 50's where white supremacist ruled the land, hand and hand with Putin and lobbing nukes at NK and any other world leader who dared to defy Trump.

2 years later and nothing has changed ... even the liberals gliding along the river of salty tears.

Yes legal immigrants failing background checks for enlistment into service because they "know foreign people" and have an American flag on their phone or charging every family that crosses the border illegally with a first time offense with the harshest punishments of separating families instead of going through a civil process or issuing a court summons, pardoning a sheriff that disobeyed court orders to stop violating the 4th amendment of illegally detaining and searching citizens because they are brown sending a message that is a okay, stating that a side of protesters that self labeled themselves as white nationalists as "good people", calling black athletes 'sons of b****es' for peacefully protesting... Ya it's only been two years and I'm pretty sure I'm missing plenty more.

2 years later and we are closer so I'm not sure what you're getting at here. We have open racists in congress, we had Bannon and his new guy Steve Miller, we have Trump being toxic on immigration using buzzwords, calling immigrants animals and not people.

He now is going to put in an extreme right wing judge that I believe will overturn several social decisions and drag back the social progress as much as they possibly can until the outrage comes.

He sides with Putin on nearly every issue...NK Nuclear problem is the worst it's ever been...

So yeah, 2 years and it's been about as bad as I expected.

Nah, it was safe to assume that Trump would nominate some conservative activist, it was just a matter of who.
