Melo whined and b****ed because he sacrificeeeeed so much to "win". Well now he can go to South Beach with Lala and chuck to his heart's content. The more I think about it the more likely it seems.
interesting. once again all the LMM backers felt he was important once Ariza was gone. Now he bolts and hes now trash. Yeah same ole same old cf's
I completely fault him because it screwed us... Those were more minutes for Green that were taken away..
Morey realized KD dick slapped Ariza and LMM last series and said **** defense let’s just get more buckets
U basically agreed with me. Thanks. Again i dont think anyone thinls melo is the savior we thought his offense would of just been better then Anderson's last year. Simple as that
Oh please let that happen. The lols in here would be epic. Lose 2 top 5 defenders on your team for a player who signs somewhere else
Too soon to pass judgment. His decision will say a lot about his future in the NBA. Choosing Miami is like choosing retirement. If he wants to win, easy decision... he comes to Rockets and re-establishes his legacy. Melo has never played with two premiere playmakers. I think it would work. But it comes down to this decision. I honestly believe Melo is an upgrade over Ariza. He might even cause more fits for Warriors on offensive end IF he buys into system.
Ummmm when was I a "backer"?? I only wanted him back for the Vet Min. Which he wasn't ready to do so I'm good with him gone. HOw is that same old clutchfans? Some of you think you have this hold on what it means to be a fan of the Rockets (while you think the sky is falling every off-season). Use logically thinking. There is risk involved with moves and timing that's also involved. But you want to lose your minds over Luc then go right ahead. As of right now, he is not worth the contract he signed. And if he was really about it, he would have wanted to stay on a contender for teh vet min rather than go the the freaking Clippers...
You know...I see a $hit ton of posts about how Rox can't play D blah blah and how adding Melo will make us worse. If im not mistaken, Morey/MDA made average players look elite af to make us the number 1 team in the league last season. Who knows...maybe MDA, Harden, and CP the only recipe Melo needs to spark that inner fire again. Just sayin, don't knock it till we try it.
Saying the drop off isn't significant in terms of what the other teams produces. Get that RPM out of here, formulaic stats disgust me.
its a domino effect. as of right now the rockets have downgraded tremendously in an already existing shallow window. you just happen to be on the side that has to justify every single move even if its obviously not good for the team. doesn't make you anymore right than anyone else
Have you actually watched Oklahoma City play the last two years? The majority of their possessions involve Russ dribbling the life out of the shot clock from the top of the key, and he’s looking to shoot first, pass second. Even Paul George had games where he looked invisible playing next to Westbrook. Oladipo looked like his star was fading the year before, etc. Melo went from being the primary option for more than a decade to basically being a spectator on offense. It’s a really difficult transition, and Donovan’s lack of creativity on offense didn’t help. There was a lack of movement within the Thunder offense as a whole, it wasn’t just a Melo problem. Concerning his defense, Melo has never been a good defender. That isn’t some new revelation. As for his shooting, Melo actually shot threes at a decent, not great, clip (36%), which matched his percentage the year before in New York. His overall FG% dipped because he shot 44% on two point field goals (4/9 per game) compared to the 46/47% percent (6/13 or 7/14) he typically averaged in New York. I’m not expecting Melo to turn back the clock to be vintage Melo by any means, but he’s still a better player than he looked in Oklahoma City last year, and better than Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute.
Get it out of here because it goes against what u were saying? The drop off defensively from Ariza to Melo is significant.
yes he actually believes so. I happen to read his attempt to break down melo's defense from some clips earlier. Oh man did i get a laugh. it was just further confirmation alot of these guys that think they know what good defense is aren't even close
