Melo's agent chilling with the Rocket family at Summer League. Done deal? Watching them made me remember. I forgot that D'Antoni coached Melo on the Knicks, maybe he has some insight on how to maximize Melo's skills unlike OKC where it's just a everybody do your own thing. I do remember that he has the wettest jumper in the league at one point, hopefully he gets that back... please....

Last summer we had a decent number of Melo threads, so I guess the trend continues this summer too. Good to know.

I mean, you had to know people have talked about this elsewhere right? No, ok. Carry on.

Stuff like that helps, and is oft-forgotten. Did you know Dwight Howard and Josh Smith were AAU teammates. That helped, too.

Okay I'm sorry, I haven't been on this forum for a couple of years since the Parson trade. I did not know.

Wait... no way... did you know that Gerald Green was sitting on his couch and playing one on one with his dog in his driveway before the rockets signed him? Insane!

Do Jerry Lin fans despise Mellon more or is it still that "can't play with superstar PG" fraudster who just won MVP?

NY Melo + Pringles = No
    OKC Melo + 2 superstars = No

    Rockets Melo + Pringles + 2 superstars = Yes?

D'Antoni coached Melo in NY. It did not go well. Melo hated D'Antoni's offense, hated Jeremy Lin getting attention and ultimately made it so miserable for D'Antoni that he quit his job.

D'Antoni has apparently moved on and is ready to coach him again.

Touché, but JLin getting the spotlight under Dantruly’s offense was the catalyst in my opinion. NEVER get in front of a Diva’s spotlight! That’s Human Nature 101.

One of these kids is doing his own thing
One of these kids is not quite the same
One of these kids is doing his own thing
Now its time to play our game. . . time to play our game

Honestly . . I think Melo's lack of respect for D'antoni and ESP Lin was the issue
I think Melo could take a back seat to CP3 . .. Harden . . but he would be DAMNED if he took on to J Lin

this is why I think it works in Houston

I'll bet nobody knows this, since they never talk about it during the broadcasts, but Calvin Murphy was a world-class baton twirler and -- get this -- Clyde Drexler plays golf and Matt Bullard likes PIE!
