It is amazing to me that the Grizz had Tyreke on their roster and could have given him the same FULL MLE deal. Isn't that why they didn't trade him at the trade deadline? And now they go out and offer a contract to a SF that can create shots?

 

LOL. You're right...They could have given that to Evans...but gave it to SLOW MO??? All the Spurs Fans are happy as hell to see him gone.

So they could have done these 2 things: Trade Evans last year for 1st round pick or sign him....but NOOOOOOOOOOOO....lets give that money to a guy that can't shoot. I guess they didn't watch how the Warriors left him open and he still couldn't make a shot.

 

He's not that bad of a player. His advanced stats are quite nice and he gets by on both ends of the court, which is amazing considering how unatheletic he is.

 

SloMo going to Grit & Grind....the kind of thing we should have seen as inevitable.

 

To me, he is really just an average NBA player - may be a little better disciplined/coached because of his experiences in San Antonio, but he certainly isn't a difference maker in any sense of the word. Thats probably why SA let him walk - you can replace 90% of his production in an unknown guy from overseas at a quarter of the cost. San Antonio in particular picks up guys like this out of the scrap heap every year or two and I would expect the same from them here.

 

I like Kyle Anderson and what he brings to the table IMO. Contract seems about right.

 

Paying him a full MLE for 4yrs is a lot, but we matched DMo on a similar deal.

SAS is now fixin' to lose a starter for nothing. They screwed up by not trading him earlier. And by matching, at least they could showcase him and get something for him, later.

 

Like what? A punch in the throat? If some foolish team wants to take his slow ass off your hands with a big contract, I would drive him to the airport.

 

Thats more than Id be willing to do, but I wouldnt hesitate to order him that uber, black at that.
