Just because the right leans more heavily into the people/autocrat side of things does not preclude the left from having their own leaders. Then in some instances you have the horseshoe effect, where the left goes so far through the looking glass it ends up on the other side of the spectrum with a "dear leader" complex. But, on average, that is the right's wheelhouse.

 

In reality, it's the exact opposite at least as the terms are used today. Government is the religion of the left wing and their leaders are their deities. Even your example of "deal leader" is the leader of a communist nation....a left wing country taken to its natural extreme. You found the same (although less intense) kind of "dear leader" worship in Venezuela when a "Democratic Socialist" named Hugo Chavez rose to power.

The wheelhouse of the modern right is small government over socialism and individual liberty over collectivism. Once upon a time the right stood for authoritarian monarchy or even theocracy, but those days are long gone as the world has largely moved on past those notions and the few places where theocracy exists outside of a single token city-state, such as Iran, are much more likely to be supported by the modern left than the right.

 

The right doesn't care about PC unless it applies to the left. When Obama was president they dissected every word he said and turned it against him - and they do that to the left. Remember "clinging to guns and religion" and how upset the right got? Or manufactured outrage of obama in certain clothes or if he bowed? You have Trump saluting the Kim Jong and the right doesn't blink.

PC is an invention of the right to mainly allow them the freedom to say racist things. The left does get overly sensitive at times but it is in large part a response to an initial cross of the proverbial line that galvanizes their opinion.

Guys, I watched the video and @cml is right. I didn't realize how divisive we were being. After watching this video, I too am #walkingaway

 

WHY THE HATE BROTHER?

I am a former liberal. But i didn't watch the video, and after seeing the video, I realize how much hate is on the left. They use racism as a victimization, and are closed minded and not open to what you guys are doing.

So I want to join and walkaway. I'd think you'd be supportive.

 

I keep thinking this is a new U2 single.

 

As a demcoratic socialist of may years I may be willing to walkaway for say a million dollars.

Any African American liberals out there? You can make a career and be paid to be a walkeraway and make a good living at it if you are articulate and have the right look. One of the white guys I saw on the tube trying to cash in, is just not going to be slick enough to monetize it.

 

No one wants you to "walk away", in fact, you are what those who "walk away" are walking away from. If you want to help, just keep being yourself and express your true beliefs as loudly and as often as you can.

 

There has been too much violence. Too much pain. But I have an honorable compromise. Just walk away. Give me your pump, the oil, the gasoline, and the whole compound, and I'll spare your lives. Just walk away and we'll give you a safe passageway in the wastelands. Just walk away and there will be an end to the horror.

 

How about this. We will follow your cause if you can find someone more intelligent and competent who can lead your cause than Donald Trump. I know plenty of conservatives more intelligent and competent than him but somehow he was chosen over 16 other more competent individuals.

 

lol Bobbie, I think you are projecting. They aren't paid as the left doesn't have the billionaire funding, but I am sure you are turning a lot of normal Republicans into liberals.

 

I am. I’m anti PC myself, but I’m much more anti trump version of anti PC. I chose to speak from the version that trump supporters understand and didn’t care to distinguish the two.

Since we are trying to be clear, anti PC is not the same thing as being politically incorrect. The latter is much closer to the ******* behavior.

This astroturf "uprising" is exactly what the right wants. It's the only way they can stay in office. Find as many ways to discourage voters as possible.
