Interesting how the #walkway curve jumps suddenly and then dips - in digital media (a business i spent a lot of time in) - that's what you see when you use paid advertising to boost something. Suggests the "movement" is actually being driven by money and not getting traction organically. based on this, it should disappear in a few days once the people behind it realize it's not blowing up and not worth the continued effort.
Well it has already been more than a few days since that last screen grab Same start date. That first peak is where the other left off. It's really grown quite a bit since then. By quite a bit, I mean at-least tripled interest after hitting that first high.
Every time I see this thread in the forum list and ignore it again, this song bounces around in my brain for an hour or so: Let the thread die so I can stop listening to excessively nasal 60's pop songs in my head.
A lot of the searches are probably from people like me who heard about it and wanted to see what it was about.

I find it interesting how those on the right are accusing the left of being intolerant with those who don't tow the party line. I mean we're talking about the ideology that is currently demonizing John McCain, Jeff Flake and Mark freakin Sanford because he said some not so nice things about dear leader. As someone who's taken a lot of lumps from the Left, Glynch feel free to step in, I won't deny there is a certain rigidity of thought on the left. That said the thought police is actually taking action against those who don't tow the line on the right.
On the main subject I saw this on Fox news the other day. It's wishful thinking on the citizens of Fox world. Trump's approval rating is tanking among millenials. I'm not sure what your point is. More people searched for "walkaway" than "bluewave" (which is relevant or comparable here because....?) so the MSM needs to run stories on some nobody leaving the Democratic party?
I do find the behavior (of accusing or not liking other for a negative something you exhibit more than other) quite interesting... this is what I was thinking earlier about when I said do people have mental mirror? As a another recent example, with the Red Hen incident, Trump supporters cry about needing civility (although they failed to understand that the incident was itself civil), yet being politically correct (i.e. nice and civil) is an enormous NO NO to them. Some even stated PC is the cause of many of our issues. Thus, being anti-PC and acting uncivil by them toward others was completely acceptable and of course they don't seem to mind at all, and plenty actually loved how Trump himself is exhibiting uncivil behaviors as a norm.
PC ≠ civility The civility argument is a distraction IMO, but this idea that PC is just being polite is dangerous. You can be politically incorrect and extremely polite.
It is an interesting phenomenon. The right tends to coalesce around people/figures, while the left tends to coalescence around ideas/feelings. This is probably why the right tends to lean toward tyranny/autocracy. They lionize authority figures, and then their party line typically follows where Daddy goes. The left's groupthink orthodoxy tends to manifest itself in these Marxist hiveminds. The central figures aren't so important and they aren't allowed to stray too far from the group without consequence. In either instance you end up with a bunch of people following along with some regimented set of ideas, beliefs, or dictums that can't really be questioned and it's no fun for anyone.
I can see that as a possibility. But If Trump and his supporters do politically incorrect in an extremely polite way, I wouldn't use it as an example. Trump make it one of his main point that being rude, nasty, uncivil as part of being politically incorrect was how they should be.
