Uruguay is clearly missing Cavani up top, but they have had their chances. Should be a good second half.

Best World Cup I’ve seen but a forgettable one for Spanish speaking countries.

    Last one bites the dust.

Thing I don't get is; Uruguay has won 2 WC, you get a star above your team crest for each WC title and I've seen 3 on the DT's and 4 on the GK's...

With the defeat of Belgium that's likely to happen within a few hours, none of the teams left will speak the same language.

Uruguay has 4 stars and 2 of them represent wins in the pre-World Cup Olympics which FIFA recognizes as a World Cup equivalent title.

I am definitely rooting for Belgium. They are like our little brother. I think most Dutch are rooting for him (most of my friends are). That being said most are not 100% ok with Belgium becoming a World champion before us. But still we root for them.

Most (if not all) Dutch want the Germans to lose, and they were really happy when the Germans we kicked out of the tournament. I do have to say that I am far more positive of the Germans than most. For me the hate has been really reduced by the previous generation. i really like Schweinsteiger and Muller. And the team just played great soccer. All the Germans I could not stand are long gone. The problem I have in these tournaments is that I dislike most great countries. I normally want the favorites to lose. So there are few teams I can root for. So I actually root for Germany. And like I said with the previous generation it is actually quite easy to root for them. I normally also root for countries I have visited (but most countries I have visited are not really soccer countries.

This tournament I was rooting for Peru (My brother and his children live there) and Belgium. With the teams that are left I will root for Belgium and if they cannot win Croatia. THe most important thing that is left is that Brazil doesn't win (and preferably also not France or England).

And yes I am pretty chill:)
