For a big man that plays scrub minutes he sure picks up a good number of blocks eh? 2016-17 he started six games and finished the season with 89 blocks. Capela started 59 games that year and had 79 blocks.

Bebe is not Capela, but Butler+Bebe is better than Scrub+Capela

Oh lord.. send Anderson to the Kings for WCS.. quick before they realise its a horrible move.
I mean they do have a logjam in their front court.. WCS, Skal, Bagley, Giles, Koufos and Randolph. Can we please take advantage of that??!!

Wolves are hard capped after foolishly signing Anthony Tolliver for 5.7 million.

Even if they werent, I doubt they'd trade Butler for an extra year rental of Love. And why would the Cavs give up Love and Korver just for a sign and trade for Capela. No team has ever given anything more than late first round picks for sign and trade deals.

I might be wrong, but IMO the rockets obtaining Butler in a trade is a pipe dream.

Again I am not saying he is a Scrub, yet you have to count on guys in the deeper realms of the Playoffs.

Rarely do you see some younger guy who is younger than Lucas, to perform like Capela against a Top 3 defensive juggernaut that are the Jazz.

Made the DPOY Gobert look like a fool.

I'd rather keep Capela for one year or two, before a trade comes up. Only for very good talent or a savvy vet.

What if we took on Gorgui’s nasty contract?

    Outgoing:
    Gordon
    Anderson
    S&T Capela

    Incoming:
    Butler
    Deng

Essentially we’re trading Capela and Gordon for Butler and 1 extra year of a bad contract (Deng’s 3 compared to Anderson’s 2).

Only difference is Deng will be serviceable whether he starts or plays backup. Anderson was/is no longer playable. I know losing Capela and Gordon isn’t ideal but you gotta give up nice pieces especially if you can return a franchise player. Jimmy Butler would be our legit 3rd superstar and outside of names like LBJ, KD, PG, Kawhi ... it really doesn’t get much better than Butler at the 3. He really can do it all and would mesh well with CP3 and Harden.

I might be higher on Butler than some but I’m a big fan of his game and competitive drive.

Sacramento in: Ryan Anderson, Aaron Jackson, rights to Gentile, 1st round pick

Houston in: Willie Cauley-Stein, Iman Shumpert, Kostas Koufos

Works on trade machine. And would be good fit for what Kings building in offseason. Got to make room for their shiny new toys.

    Fox/Mason
    Lavine/Hield/Temple
    Bogdanovic/Justin Jackson/Sampson
    Bagley/Ryno/Skal
    Giles/ZBo

I'm also a huge fan of Butler so I understanding thinking of scenario to get him.

Taking back Gorgui's contract is a step in the right direction, however including Anderson is not. Remember the Wolves are hard capped, meaning they can take back any more money. Gordon, Capela, Anderson make a lot more than Butler and Gorgui.

Furthermore I don't think the wolves are eager to pay another center ie... Capella 20+ million when they already have Towns, let alone give something of value for the oppurtunity to.

If I'm the wolves, I'm looking to deal wiggins or teague before I tried to move Butler.

If they don’t want to give up Butler I wouldn’t mind a Wiggins ryno swap.

I think Wiggins would be good on this team and would probably find his 3pt shot.

I don’t see where these Wiggins swaps are realistic. They just gave Wiggins extension why would they do that turn trade him

And what world is Anderson Wiggins swap fair?, Wiggins despite his woes is actually a good player. He averages like 15-20 ppg and still young

    Buyers remorse.
If Butler has an issue with Wiggins then they might rather trade Wiggins than Butler.
Wiggins hasn’t been that good under Thibs.

It’s not like we haven’t seen guys get deals and then be traded not too long after.

They'd rather let Butler walk then take on Rynos contract.

they will not trade butler for anything less than first round pick, young prospect and expirings

we have none of this things so hang it up. he wants to play with kyrie and this isnt the first time we've heard this. i think its virtually a lock they both end up on the knicks, nets, or celtics. i think knicks most likely since they brought in fizdale

Kyrie and Butler in NY next to Porzingis would be Adam Silver’s wet dream.

The Celtics, Knicks, and Lakers all relevant at the same time?

Might as well sign Thabeet If you are looking for blocks.

Do you know what really matters on defense for the Rockets? I’ll give you a clue, it has nothing to do with blocking shots and it makes Lucas unplayable in the playoffs.

In today’s NBA, If you can’t defend the pick and roll, or switch screens and pick up guards in open space, you have no business being on the floor for a championship level team.

Lucas would not play. Nene is STILL better.

I think the only way we get Butler is if we take on Gorgui Dieng ugly contract.

    2018 - 19 - 15M
    2019 - 20 - 16M
    2020 - 21 - 17M

In order to take on Dieng's contract, we would probably have to trade EG & NeNe who are both better players than Dieng.

Who the hell cares? You'd be getting Jimmy freakin Butler in this scenario. Tucker will be playing center when it counts anyways, there's your switch on screens.

Dieng is only a bad player relative to his contract. He’s an ok big. Better than Nene if you take money out of the equation. You guys remember Nene against GS? 1 ugly game, then the bench. Nene is a good guy but he’s done.
