And another thing i know they made trade offers for kwahi...its a reason sas didnt bite. It probably was a low ball ofter. They wasnt serious (willing to give up good pieces). Danny wont split them tens for anynody other then one player in the nba. Thats Anthony davis i think.

    So we overpaid for Harden?
The Thunder acquired guards Kevin Martin and Jeremy Lamb, two first-round picks and a second-round pick for James Harden

Jaylen Brown and Kyrie Irving individually are both worth more than all assets we sent to OKC.

You guys saying no to EG for Jimmy are insane. You can replace Gordon with a better shooter maybe less in Ellington. Move Anderson and Nene for Bazemore and Dedmon then sign Melo after the buyout. Also offer Jamal Crawford a vet min deal

    Cp3/Crawford/Mcw
    Harden/Ellington/Green
    Butler/Bazemore/Green
    Melo/Tucker
    Capela/Dedmon/Wright

    Valid. Who you paying?
IMHO Kyrie has shown by his actions that he doesn't want to be in Boston
Brown is the centerpiece only b/c you have control for a few more years.
If you can get Kawahi, a legit franchise 2-way player who puts your team as a legit threat to one of the best teams ever assembled for an offense-focused guard (who likely does NOT make an all-star team in the West & does not want to play for your franchise), a potentially great player (but not there yet), and a really low 1st? I think you make that move... I gotta think even Morey makes that move

My concern is that Kawhi, like Kyrie is a free agent next summer. They have called each other their best friends in the league. I wouldn't trust either of them to stay. If i'm trading for Kyrie or Kawhi, I'm trying to put them on the same team. Boston could probably not involve Minnesota in getting Leonard. He's expiring and is "only interested in the Lakers." Brown + Rozier + a future first or 2 should get it done. I don't think Ainge would pull the trigger. Brown and Tatum are a lethal tandem that the Celtics are going to be careful about breaking up, especially for a potential rental. Rookie contracts are the best contracts.

    I feel you.
I think Kawahi has shown he can be swayed.
I think you are gunning for a ship to change his mind and convince him to re-up in Boston. (You could also sell him on Eastern Conference dominance for 3-4 more years.)
I didn't know about Kyrie & Kawahi being buddies. I know Jimmy said he was trying to join forces with Kyrie. (That's why the trade I proposed had Kyrie & Jimmy in SA)

Can Capela be sign and traded to the Wolves?

If yes, Capela + Gordon would work. People thinking Gordon + trash are delusional.

Only if Capela wants to sign with Wolves. We can always re sign Capela and include him in a trade a the deadline

VIvi mentioned this a couple days ago but this is probably why morey is taking his time and making Capela the next biggest priority.

Signing him to a team friendly contract opens up possibilities down the road in case a deal does come up. The contract we sign him to now can be a major asset later.

Capela is looking for the highest offer and will sign wherever.

If we are looking for a third star Capela has got to be the centerpiece in the trade. For one, we won't be paying 4 players near max, plus Ryno.

Two, Capela is a tremendous player for us, but he is a system player. He's worth the money in this system, but there are players you can get 80% what he gives on a MLE contract. And the biggest issue, he loses half his effectiveness against GS because they switch everything. You still get the ace rebounding and adequate defense, but he hurts you on offense against those schemes. And you can't pay someone that kind of money if he's going to be half useless against the one team you need to beat to win a chip.

Sign and trade Capela for a third star and sign Lucas Nogeuira for the mle and you are set.

sounds so simple, unfortunately the reality is, there currently isnt a demand for centers atm. No team other than the Mavericks made an offer for centers, which included capela, cousins, nurkic and deandre.

So what team are you thinking would offer the Rockets a "star" to facillitate a sign and trade for capela?

Are there better options than Nogueira for about the same price?

Nogueira is a very good option. Underrated big man.

Sure but we are a Championship caliber team, we need big contributors from the get go.

Not some talents that play minimum of minutes and needs developing. 10 + ppg and 7-8 rpg in 25 + minutes is a must IMHO.

He can be underrated in the East and on some mediocre team that is trying to get to the Playoffs!

Fair point but what about the Cavs?
    Cavs get Capella, Rockets 1st
    Minny gets Love and Korver
    Houston get Butler

Then it would be a case of trying to find a free agent big like Len or Lopez or maybe even trading Anderson for a Chandler.

In an ideal world we wouldnt have to give up Gordon.. but he might make that happen if he gets sent to the Wolves instead of Korver.

I seriously think you're underestimating Bebe's capabilities. Toronto has always had a log jam of big men, and Dwane Casey was an awful coach in my opinion.

Just for reference. You can look further.

Brandan Wright, if healthy. Don't get me wrong, I like Bebe too. Just not as a starter. Watch Clint's highlights, one things that make him special and such a great fit is his effort, guy is always running full bore on offense and D. Bebe does not have that effort yet.

No one available is better than Capela as a starter. Especially not for this Rockets team and what the system requires from the 5 spot on offense and defense. There is a reason Clint is integral part if Big 3. Not as effective against GSW but Rockets tear thru regular season and 1st and 2nd round opponents so easily in large part because of Clint.

WCS (starter) and Vanderbuilt (back up) would be prime trade targets because they fit the athletic and effort profile required for the position. Plus they are both on cheap contracts.

I am not underestimating anything/anyone. I stand by my statement. Couple of good games won't sway me.

But if you want the Rockets to develop young guys, I dun mind, but tell that to the Front Office.

Never said he sucked, Capela is one year younger than Nogueira. Capela without CP3 joining, is still a 12-13 ppg guy.

    Look where they are!
