Melo doesnt play for the team he plays for himself--no humility. Its sad because i honestly believed if he didnt have such an entitled spirit he would be fantastic with us

If Morey and MDA want Melo and can work a good deal guess what Melo haters -- he's coming to the team regardless of how much you whine on the internet.

And the team probably goes downhill regardless of whether you want him or not

Plenty of people (most actually) said Harden and CP3 wouldn’t work at all, but look how that turned out.

I’m holding out hope that Melo - if he comes - will check the ego and play the role we need him too... ironically one that he’d be way more comfortable with than the one in OKC... plus his BFF is running the offence for him.

It’s worth trying. Even with Melo’s me me me attitude thus far.

If Morey would have pulled it off last season we would have won the championship.

    PROVE ME WRONG.

If this if that. Everything for him is either an excuse or a big if as a reason to grab him.

No, Morey and MDA are going to do their diligence and make the selection that is the best fit for the team for the cost -- internet GMs be damned. Zero of what you have put in your post is accurate -- try harder.

Hilarious. Everything I've said is pretty much on point. All you've done is try to come give your 2cents which is meaningless. Nothing even basketball related. Try again

Facts once CP3 went down Melo would have at least hit a few open shots when we really needed them and Draymond Green would have had to focus on Melo which would have opened the door for Capela to expose GS in the paint. I cannot prove you wrong but i can prove you right!

OKC using the stretch provision on Melo saves $91 million this year:

    https://www.sbnation.com/nba/2018/7...ovision-thunder-salary-cap-paul-george-rumors

But spreading his cap hit over three seasons ups their tax hit over the next two years, making team-building around Westbrook and George more difficult. Perhaps OKC will hold on to Melo and take the hit this year to increase their flexibility over the next two years? Plus, if they hold him until the trade deadline in February, maybe a deal opens up where they can dump him for another player on an expiring contract (that is perhaps injured and out for the year) that has a smaller salary and reduces their tax hit for this year.

This is a weak a** conclusion. For many reasons. Not worth discussing.

I wouldn't go this far..... BUT... i do believe he would be a different player in our system... and would have helped us tremendously down the stretch.

I cant wait til he is here in Rockets red playing the 3 next to paul and Harden.

Like i said, people are in for a pleasant surprise.

He is not going to be like he was in OKC. He is going to be Olympic Melo. Take it to the bank.

I am assuming Morey the homework champ forgot to do his homework before handing that contract to Ryan then.

PS. KingCheetah, stop trolling folks on both sides of the fence, lulz...

He would be a 4 for Rockets but agree with everything else.
Melo would provide exactly what we hoped Iso Joe was supposed to provide, vet who can create his own shot and score in bunches. MDA/Bzdelik is going to need to make sure there are at least 3 defenders playing with him so he doesn't become huge liability on D scheme to switch everything however.

The Melo haters here are the same ones who were against getting Josh Smith. What were the knocks? "He can't shoot", "He's selfish", "Holds the ball", "lazy" bla, bla, bla..At the end of the day Melo's skill set fits our team better than anybody. He can play free without pressure of being the superstar. He's a iso players coming to a iso offense

Since we don't have a SF current;y, put PJ Tucker at the 3 and put Melo at the 4.

I’m all for Melo. But to be fair I don’t think people hated on the Josh Smith move either. Weren’t we all hoping we would land him when he got bought out? The Josh Smith hate started after that when we wouldn’t re-sign him
