Not to mention Bennett is like one of the poorest owners in the league. AND they'd get better by stretching melo

save money and addition by subtraction seems like a no brainer

was the guy even at the PG party?

No clue but you can't tell me any owner in the league would want to keep Carmelo Anthony if it was going to cost them just over 118 million dollars for one year of him.

Seems like this time could happen. OKC is about to stretch him and it will be Lakers or Houston.
Key is saving our MLE after re-signing Luc Mbah a Moute, and finding a trade for Rhyno.

This is why Morey was saving the MLE for.

Melo would fit right into this iso heavy offense. In LA, he would be as effective as he was in Okc. Make the right decision dude

    Can’t wait tbh.

Want to see him play next to Paul and harden.

People are in for a pleasant surprise.

I’ll really believe this is happening when our new alternative road jersey is released ahead of schedule and has a hood on it.

Until then, it’s just a theory.

I just really could not care less about Carmelo Anthony. I could see him being marginally impactful at best. I’d take him for next to nothing though.

Aren’t they owned by a group and not just Bennett?

Geez, you guys just can't quit Carmelo.

I know he's never played defense...but he'll do it here.
I know he's never come off the bench(he mocks the mere suggestion)....but he'll do it here.
I know he's never been a willing part of an offense...but he'll do it here.

His idea of sacrificing for the team is taking a few less shots. Not coming off the bench, committing his energy to another area, or helping get his teammates good looks.

Don’t look at Melo in a vacuum. Look at what Anderson did for us in the playoffs, then ask if Melo could’ve provided more.

Anderson came in got cooked by Curry and provided zero offense. Melo would’ve at least put points on the board, maybe even get some boards.

That might’ve been enough for a chip last year

Melo would have got cooked, and through a hissy fit when he was rightfully benched.

At least Anderson is self-aware of when he's not helping.

There's no doubt Melo could be an excellent addition, but there is nothing in the history of his basketball career that suggests he is willing to make any effort to make a sacrifice to be a better team player.

Sad but true. We were only a few buckets away from the finals.

For people saying he wouldn’t work. Here’s why he might be better in Houston

-Westbrook is a ballhog and cancer, he gets everybody off rythem

-Chris Paul and James Harden are more blunt, I think they’ll be more on Melos heels when he’s not playing how they want, Westbrook and Goerge are younger and less likely to call out people as Chris Paul would be and even I heard harden is pretty blunt as we saw with Paul, slapping his hand.

-better system, it would be a much smoother system to excel in

-Harden and Paul can be ballhogs but there phenomenal passers so they have the ability to set up melo a lot easier

-better teammates overall then thunder, if we keep our core it puts less stress on everyone, guys like gordon, Tucker, capela, green and etc makes it so much easier for players not to force things and you can have a better shot selection

Hopefully he can understand he will have to take a lesser role and will basically be a spot up shooter but with the ability to create or drive if needed.

I think for melo and his family it would be hard to pass up on LA but to be honest I am not sure if they are mutual unless it’s Lebron willing it

Hmmm. This was not what I was looking forward to.
I was kind of hoping we use the MLE on someone else and Melo signs here for a vet minimum. Do you guys not think that’s possible? I don’t think he needs to give back money for OKC to buy him out. He kind of knows they’d do it even if he refused to surrender a cent.

Let's stop pretending we run a "system" anymore on offense. Harden won out over D'Antoni and we now run a slow, star player iso-ball system. Melo would love our system for sure because it would be about him doing what he wants.
