Eric Gordon replacement. 6th man of the year and a real chance to win. Plus we all know Paul will be getting a lot of DNP-Rest
I think Bazemore, Crabbe or Caroll are all pretty realistic. Crabbe or Caroll > Bazemore I also like the Milsap idea.
I don't believe this for a minute but since everyone throws any far fetched possibilities here .. Perhaps Snell will be available + Delly.
This is a very interesting point. It seemed like OKC was such a trainwreck because Russell was afraid of inserting his leadership on the team and scaring Paul George away. He knows the reputation is that players don't want to play with him, he gets asked about it all the time by reporters, so he wasn't being very vocal or barking at teammates. He just kept his head down, played buddy buddy, and let everybody do them (which seemed to work for PG, but also let Melo do whatever he wanted with consequences). This isn't the case with Chris Paul. He will bark at anyone at any point in the game if they aren't doing what's best for the team. Melo has never had that before, and I think it could be very useful for him at this point in his career when he needs to be forced to tweak his game.
Me? Yes... I’d love for Kemba to come off the bench. Now tell me what other all star is going to a team to come off the bench
I don't believe the Rockets will make any more that increases overall salary if they aren't getting back a superstar. Anderson for Bazemore is logical because it makes us a little better and saves the team money. I'm definitely in the camp right now that is of the thinking the Rockets are trying to reduce the tax burden.
Absolutely not. Walker is up for an extension and we don’t even need him. And Batum is injury prone and over paid. Even more than Anderson.
Yes, I know that lol. But the point of him being stretched rather than bought out was to get him for the minimum. Whereas if he left money on the table because of the buyout, he'd perhaps pursue the MLE instead. I'd rather him be stretched out and use the minimum, and save our MLE to add another piece as well. Unless you're actually saying that he'd be paid his full contract if he's bought out... which is simply not true. OKC and Melo would agree to buyout terms - that number is usually less than the contract amount because some players will try to make up that money once they sign with a new team.
Man we need to stop using the word "small forward." Morey will look at this board and see the word "small" and get a 6'1 forward and say he's a small forward and call it a day. Who do we get to replace Ariza? At this point as long as he isn't 35 and above we are good!
