I think he's overrated and too full of himself, but we'll see.

Would be averaging 31.6 mil / year. And he's only 21.

Envy. Yes, envy, would be the word that comes to mind. :D

ain't worth it. giving guys like booker max contracts pretty much caps you at low 50 wins unless things just go miraculously well for you in other areas.

He’s out of his mind! Why didn’t he take the 1.2mil option in gs?

i agree and i suppose one way to look at it is that phoenix isn't going to be good for a while anyway so why not just lock up booker to sell tickets. but at some point you're going to wish you weren't paying booker 35M and you're going to miss out on a move you could make. players like booker are just traps. you can't trade them because they're "your franchise guy" but they aren't real "franchise guys" and you just get stuck paying them a ton. like late 1st round picks that turn into nice but not great players. they seem great initially, but they turn into market value free agents who are getting paid 80% of true max guys and yet hardly move the needle.

I prefer even more talent to go to GS. It's time for the whole thing to come crashing down.

Smart move would be what Orlando, Bucks, and Rockets did...let them get that contract somewhere else and then match

Turns out not much of a market for Restricted Free agents as Clint, Parker, and Gordon learned.

Julius Randle signed for $9 million a year. GM don't want to tie up money to Restricted FA knowing teams will match.

Great job SUNS. Keeping staying in that 40 wins(on a good year) range.

I tried to find a positive thing about this signing. Young player, very good offense, still has time to develop his defense. But, wow.

I'd encourage you guys to read the entire article. It's a good one. And the comments section destroy Booker, as well.

And I thought Gilbert Arenas '08 contract was crazy. At least he had success. Makes no sense to give him this contract but good luck Suns.
