Yep was gonna mention him. Killing it lately and has really pretty steadily improved all season. Speed, versatility...highly unlikely to be anything more than a fringy utility guy but good to see him coming around.
Joe Perez has re-emerged. I'm guessing they're being as cautious with him as possible, even if Tommy John for position players has a shorter rehab period.
He’s gonna be a consensus top 30 prospect at the end of the season. His ability to hit for average, drive in runs and power to all fields make him one of the most promising prospects in the game.
Ritchie now has exceeded my expectations. I thought that he would top out at AA. Of course, the McCann injury caused the minor league catchers to be reshuffled.
Freudis Nova is currently 2-4 with an RBI single in the GCL game today. He's now on an eight-game hitting streak.
Enoli Paredes went six innings and allowed a run on two hits, walked one, and struck out five for Quad Cities. Since moving into the rotation, Paredes has cut down on the walks; he's only issued six free passes in 20.2 innings. On the other hand, he walked 17 in 27.1 as a reliever.
Catching him was the pro debut of Cesar Salazar. Draftees Freure and Daniels (who apparently signed) were also added to the Tri-city roster.
Do not like. Bulging disc back troubles are often long term problems. Get him in the pen and up ASAP before he falls apart.
Great start for him. Hitting .340 with a .528 SLG, still hasn't walked though. Being ready for full season ball at 19 would be huge.
