How is Schumer disagreeing with me, he isn't saying you should make death threats against congresswomen like RL was. Are you?
He's a man, made of straw, who sits in the fields to keep the (black/black-hat-wearing) birds away. It could not be more self-explanatory.
No where in his speech does he make any argument about "death threats". He DOES talk about harrassment of political opponents....my goodness, the name of the VIDEO itself says that. Harrassment of political opponents is exactly what Maxine Waters WAS calling for. But you knew this. You knew all of it. Your response simply continues to show you as the leftist political hack you've always exemplified yourself to be here.
Dearest wife, this civil war has been most tumultuous and I have rationed ammo to 90 rounds per day and hunkered down near Home Depot and chick fil A . The enemy has incurred heavy losses but I am now pinned down and flanked .Barring any supply drops, my only chance to make it till morning is to infiltrate Academy for possible resupply. It is dire and my fear is not seeing you again. If I am to make it back to base I must move under the darkness of night . Pray for me so that I may see you soon. Yours truly - letters from second civil war
Lulz. Like the Mexicans don't already own Home Depot. Spoken like a true whitey with non-calloused hands.
The type of ambush protests on private time or at the homes of our officials is what Waters has called for. It might not be all the types of harrassment there are, but they certainly qualify.
Homes are of course, and should be, out of line. Around their children, yep. But "private time"? When does a public figure that represents the citizens have private time when in public? That I don't get. As long as you're respectful while you say your piece, what better way to interact with your elected/unelected officials? Send a letter to their office that will be answered by a staffer with a form letter in 9 to 1? business days?
If it were respectful, I wouldn't have much of an issue with that. The problem is most times, its not.
I don't like assholes either (there's a time and a place). I promise I'll do my best if/when I ever run into Ted Cruz or Dan Patrick or Sheila J. Lee in public.
If it were respectful, the Breitbarters wouldn't take issue. *chuckle* It is a remarkable delusion you have there.
Very snowflakey here today. There were like 121 poltical related deaths just this year in Mexico during election season and the right is complaining about not getting to eat their omlette in peace when they are lying to the American people daily (SHS) or displaying 3rd world corruption (Pruitt). I certainly don’t think people on either side should be rude about it, and certainly shouldn’t be do ANYTHING physical but peacefully and respectfully protesting or professionally confronting officials is part of what makes a democracy great. You can walk up to Scott Pruitt like that lady did the other day when he was eating out (surprised it wasn’t a Chick Fil A), and politely tell him you care about the earth therefore he should resign. In many countries you’d get taken out back and beaten for even thinking about doing that. Calling for a lack of even polite dissent just shows how dangerously autocratic the right want to become now that their tribe seems to have all the power. Boy how they have changed since the Tea Party days which seem like century’s ago.
RL said that because she encourage people to speak out that he had trouble feeling bad that the congresswoman received death threats. Do you believe she deserved to receive death threats?
Wasn't done at anyone's home. And the the DHS administrator described it as a "working dinner". But that said, I wouldn't approach a govt employee outside of their official duties but the bigger issue was whether death threats are ever acceptable.
