Bashing is fine , what about mixing in non bashing news ? The prob is we know time warner is pure cane pro democrat as numerous evidence such as cited . The news needs an overall otherwise the bashing whether it's deserved or not along with MSNBC and others will always be considered fake news
But having said that ... for pure entertainment, watch any YouTube clips with the liberal Sherpa ...yes the amazing Cathy Areau. I partially think she is a undercover joke poke at the left leaning biased media . It's pure gold . Just look it up haha
I would absolutely love to be there and straight up yell at him about well done steaks, A1 sauce, fried thighs vs breasts, the best way to eat a taco bowl with a knife and fork, etc....
I think there is no liberal bias in news and that’s a load of bs. I also think CNN seems bias toward liberal only because Fox News is so much more bias to the other side, but that’s from only a few clips I see from time to time. But what I don’t like is nearly every single news org have strong bias toward negativity. I get the critical coverage but that’s not what I’m talking about. The constant repeated coverage on negativity is what I’m referring to. Red hen is a recent example. That consistent bias isn’t healthy for the nation. People, government, institutions, parties, and so on are made out worse than they are. It fuels cynicism, distrust, hate and resentment (from unfair coverage), which fosters negative behaviors providing even more negative coverage. I personally do not consider any news organization such as cnn and fox as worthy of any journalism. So instead of fake news, which is bs genralization and a poor excuse for everything that is ‘bad news’ coverage including valid critism, what we have is negative news. 24/7 coverage with the speed of today quick flash media with negative bias is a big part of our problem. P.s for me, npr is one exception. Perhaps it has something to do with $$ interest. There are also still many great journalistic works (and the media is a necessity for an informed public), that isn’t fit for a quick tv segment, a tweet, or fb post. But those just don’t get the attention of the negative stories.
https://www.salon.com/2018/06/30/ex...shooter-had-deep-dark-links-to-the-alt-right/ Shocker... and we are told over and over again that we are to be afraid of the left because.... Kathy Griffith and Snoop ALoop.
How do we feel about one of our posters here taking the most vocal stance of anti-democratic animus towards the media in a thread about a mass shooting murder who hated “the media”... while that poster has an image in his avatar glorifying the weapon used in virtually every mass shooting in the US? I mean how are we supposed to take that? If this guy is a real person and not a Russian bot,how in the world can someone have such little lack of self awareness, or simply not care?
Not sure who you mean but I suspect he's real if the join date is before 2014-2015. And it's probably the not caring option. What MAGA means is this: conservative white guys get to do and say exactly what they want and everyone else should shut up.
Probably right but it’s just incredibly on the nose. It really should freak people out too but I guess we’ve just become too immune to gun nuts here in the US to not even blink an eye anymore.
Conservative columnist: Trump is ‘fomenting violence’ against journalists http://thehill.com/homenews/media/3...ump-is-fomenting-violence-against-journalists
I disagree about that bias but agree with the other things you said. Also I do enjoy NPR because it isn't sensationalized such as MSNBC or CNN. They seem to put thought into what they say even if I don't agree with it and there is respect on their reporting towards Trump. That's all I ask for as a Trump supporter
LMAO! I've been here a long time. I've met and even played basketball with fellow liberal posters here . I have been an avid gun rights supporter and that weapon in my avatar is one of several in my collection. Nice to meet you
There's a lot wrong with what you just said, but I'll focus on the 2 main things you got wrong. The guy didn't hate "the media" in general, he hated one specific newspaper who printed unfavorable articles about him. AR-15's have not been used in "virtually every mass shooting in the US" and you saying that kills your credibility. Between 1982 and 2017 there was 143 "mass shootings", rifles of all types were used in only 35 of those, only slightly more than shotguns. By far the most popular weapon type used in mass shootings are semi-automatic handguns.
I am glad trump decided not to allow his petty war with the media to not grant the request... and reversed his earlier decision to not fly the flags at half staff to honor the five killed in Maryland. Interesting... SHS must have told the mayor no on Monday PM and then changed it to yes on Tuesday morning... Trump to order flags flown at half-staff to honor Capital Gazette victims https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ory.html?noredirect=on&utm_term=.452dbfe8d93e
What should flags be flown at half staff? It was a personal grudge. Its a newspaper Shouldn't that honor be reserved for government workers?
Two reasons: first, a small LOCAL (to Washington) newspaper that many people in the Washington area knew and respected; and two, in respect to the important role the press plays with respect to our democracy, despite trump and his supporters ridiculous and petty fight with "fake press".
The dude had a personal grudge. It wasn't an attack against journalism I don't care either way but it wouldn't be an affront not to do so Edit:The story he got upset about was about him not something like Watergate
