Everybody was kung-fu fighting Those kicks were fast as lightning(especially the black guy from Australia) In fact it was a little bit frightening But they fought with expert timing(not really though)
Apparently after ejections, it was 5 on 3. Then a foul out made it 5 on 2. Then 5 on 1 and the refs called the game. Should have shut it down after the brawl since Australia had a 31-point lead at the time. https://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2018/7/2/17525120/australia-philippines-basketball-brawl-video
Thon Maker is what the announcer said??? wth is he doing playing in australia? if he got hurt and his season was over, the bucks might void his contract.
Obviously Thon doesn't have any clue how to fight. Even I can fight better than him. Flying kicks jumping here and there LMAO If you have to kick, just give a kick in the balls and there you go.
Did I see a chair being thrown? That alone gets the brawl grade to at least a C-. I'd give a higher grade but I saw a lot of missed flying kicks.
basketball players have all the tools to be good at fighting. millionaires do not. to be a good fighter you must be insane and willing to lose everything. millionaires are not.
I'm not surprised, Philadelphia and Australia are both known for their trash talking and troublemaking.
It makes me wonder what the average salary in the australian and phillipino league is like? I would be surprised if most of those players have made hundred thousands of american dollars. You can take most middle class americans and they are richer than most players here I think.
they are just like d leaguers, they do not make much but hope one day they will be good enough to get paid. think about how many self deluded kids and young guys you met who have no chance of making it pro and they tell others they can. now imagine actually being good enough to play for the olympic team. just goes to show how even the biggest scrub in the nba is still much better than almost everyone outside the league.
According to Wiki, the TEAM salary cap for the Australian NBL is $AUD 1.1M. Roster 15 guys, and thats an average of $AUD 75K. ($54K USD) I'm guessing the Filipino league is lower. Just tossing out some numbers that I could find. I agree with you, these guys are the equivalent of minor leaguers here.
Thanx for looking it up. Yeah..I know a couple of professional players in the first category here who play in mediocre teams and almost made the NT, and they just make a little more than the average salary. In comparison to americans they are low middle class at best if not poor. They sure can't retire just off their bball carreer.
