Well we still have Luc Mbah a Moute who I thought was just as effective as Ariza last year. Otherwise, Houston will probably hit up the trade market for guys like Wilson Chandler.

This isnt talked about enough but Ariza is pretty hard to replace.

It's a big hit to our team if we're unable to find someone who can defend 1 to 4 like Ariza.

IDK why Harden is doing a Shanghai tour when it's free agency recruiting time right now. Couldn't he have done that stuff later? If we somehow don't match Capela as well, we're going to be in big trouble come next year having to replace them both somehow.

Luc is also a free agent who we haven't heard anything about. We don't even know he can be starter in this league anymore after two straight shoulder injuries. He clearly wasn't himself in the playoffs.

I'm all for Mike Scott or Mario Hezonja as well but I think Rodney Hood would be a great fit, since he can play pretty good D. No way I would have gave Ariza that type of money at that age. I love Luc and I know his shoulder made him look bad in the playoffs but we need to get guys who is more of a threat from 3.

I think Luc Mbah a Moute's best days are passed him.

We need a new face in the lockerroom to take Ariza's place. Can Mike Scott put the ball on the floor?

"Vince Edwards," the player that Morey randomly generated in 2K career mode.

    Rodney hood for the MLE

    Young

3 and D guy perfect replacement

I will still do Anderson and a 1st for Bazemore or Wilson Chandler as well

    Sign Melo after buyout

    And match anything Capela gets

    Capela
    Tucker/Melo
    Hood/Bazemore
    Harden/Gordon
    Paul

There is the solid 8-man rotation we were lacking last year

Trade targets (ryno+FRP): bazemore, carroll, aminu+contract

Trade targets (gordon): barton, thad young, tobias harris (would require a pick), richardson+contract, middleton (would require a pick), covington (if they lose redick).

MLE targets: evans, bradley*, redick*, mccaw
    * = would need to trade gordon for a F

    :D

Middleton would be a game changer. He could essentially replace Gordon + Ariza alone.

Mike Harris. Don't we always give him a 10 day contract in the beginning of the season then cut him.

The guys I really like that are left (Evans, Bradley, Redick) are not really small forwards; they're shooting guards. None of those guys can replace exactly what Trevor did with his length and defensive versatility.

I'm hoping we can replace Ariza's position through trade.
