“Trevor Ariza is not walking through that door. Neither is LeBron James or Paul George. If Trevor Ariza did walk through that door he would be wearing a Suns jersey. We have to play with the players we have. James Ennis, Carter Williams and Vince Edwards. That is who we have and who we will have to win with.” - MDA in March of 2019

Still, training camp battles and longevity plays a factor. Sign Ariza, not be too good, draft RJ Barrett next year. Other players probably wanted to long term contract. Or probably just didn’t want to deal with that heat.

And CP3 is taking a pay cut
And Harden is going to stop with the "too cool for school" BS attitude

Right, the guy that spends an unbelievable amount of hours in the gym in the offseason. The one that instantly goes back on the court after games because his shot wasnt right. The person everyone thought would never take that next step... gets the MVP this year.

Sure... we need THAT guy to change.

What team would sign a player for 1 year at $15 million dollars - big money - just to cut him halfway through the year so his previous team can pick him up to help their playoff run??? You need to go to fandom rehab. In fact, most posters on here need to do that. There is so much delusion on here some people probably think THEY are signing multi-million dollar contracts each time someone signs one.

    #NewMath

// Get paid on someone else's team.
// Work a buyout after the all star break as the youngsters start to get more minutes
// Return back to the Rockets on a Vet Min deal while still being paid by the Suns

I don't think it happens, but still.

This may be a really bad question so I apologize if it offends anyone.... Since he signed in Free Agency with the Suns, Would it be possible for him to be traded at the February trade deadline? If so, Could he be traded back to the Rockets for say... Ryan Anderson?

Edit: Ariza and someone else for Anderson that is...

Why in the world would the suns pay him $15M (well, I wonder that in the first place) and then buy him out for him to return? Are they some sort of make-a-wish service for NBA players?

I think he'll be traded to a contender near the deadline for dying salary and a late 1st. They get mentoring and purchased a 1st.
