Why not? Davis batted 0.200 with a sub 0.600 OPS while he was up. Why not give other people equal opportunities and see if anyone catches fire?
Anyone else catch Mariners futuristic uni's from yesterday? Surprised that doesn't count as an L in the standings.
Davis had more thump when he was up at least and he gets sent down right when he's starting to hit. I feel he has more upside than White and Reed.
Maybe in theory, but in results, he only had one extra-base hit. His only real strength was walking a lot. But beyond that, he hit 0.200 with no power. I'm not sure we have any real way to know who has the most upside of the 3 at this point, but regardless, they are all fillers. I suspect the Astros are just trying to find someone who can get on a bit of a hot streak and contribute something for these short bursts where players are out. None of these guys figures to be relevant to the 2018 Astros in the grand scheme of things.
Not those three, but Kemp fits that bill (finding guys in the minors who can succeed at the majors). You could add Stassi to the list since he was a minors guy until this year. Not sure what to do with all those AAAA guys.
F*ck the Rays... they always play us so damn tough.. can't wait to have them in the rearview mirror AND GATTIS HR
