    On the plus side...

    He's old. Time to get younger in a place of need.
    He's limited offensively, and we can upgrade that and potentially even his shooting.
    We aren't COMPLETELY out of options to replace him.
    His cap hold just left our books.

    How weird. I was just posting about Trevor in another thread, checked the GARM, and discovered that Ariza had pulled a Ridick, smaller version. Who knows? He came to Houston, didn't turn out the be the star we hoped for, left, and then returned as the quintessential role player. Maybe after this one year deal, he'll come back for a more reasonable, shorter deal. Unlikely, but not impossible. In any event, I wish him well. He'll be missed.
