Be glad when they don't have to play Marwin everyday. Last year was an outlier. He's not that good. Just a solid utility player.
*doing other things* *checks box score* *sees a 2 in our row* *looks at scoring plays* *scrunches up and cocks head to side* "Ok, then. This is still happening." *waits for other ballplayers to start shaving in the middle of games*
Springer's infamous slumps can be overcome when the lineup is at full strength but it's starting to hurt now.
Is Marwin still good at hitting the baseball? He seems to just dump every ball he hits in to the ground.
Let's move Breggy to 3rd and get Altuve 2nd. Can really be a big RBI guy. Wasn't expecting much from today's lineup, but I like a top 5 of Springer Altuve Bregman Correa Yuli Or Springer Altuve Correa Bregman Yuli There are also older guys like Beltre to be had who make good contact for lower down the order, it's better than relying on White and company. The Ray's are not a great team, but the stros do struggle against them.
I feel like a slump is coming on. We just had a great run and it looks like things are going off the rails a bit. Hopefully it wont last long.
It’s really hard for this team to slump too badly with the general quality of all 5 starters. The offense also looks fresno-ish and cold George Springer who, when he goes bad is just really really bad at the plate (but amazing when he gets hot). If you meant playing 500 baseball for a couple weeks sure- if you mean slump as in 2-8 in a 10 game stretch I’d bet against that happening
I am really surprised by Bregmans Power this year, last year I thought Bregman would be a better hitter. His Offseason Workout and Diet and keeping it up. Altuve Power is missing this year. Other Batters are missing Marwin, Reddick, Marisnick is streaky, McCann. These guys need to replaced.
