What ??! Sitting on the bench??? Oh yeah and pay him 20mil while you’re at it!!! What are you talking about.
melo would be right there on the bench against the likes of GS in the playoffs too. But he'd be whining and pouting in the process. He couldn't even play against utah and be effective so hes all of a sudden going to be playable against GS. wake up. these melo fanboys still acting like hes 10 years younger
Yeah, Irving has a max write all over him...you can bet the Knicks are already set on that, and it's very possible he wants to be there, add that he's not a franchise player and he's often injured...if i'm the Spurs i'd gladly pass.
20 mil ..... @20mil!!! Why am I engaging with you!! But like I said if all things made sense basketball wise. We would have Lebron and Philly would have their big 3/ 4. Young and ready to compete.
Spurs Privately Acknowledge Relationship With Kawhi Leonard Cannot Be Repaired The San Antonio Spurs preferred retaining Kawhi Leonard this offseason and hoped to repair the relationship. Leonard has been adamant in his trade demand and the Spurs have given up the hope of keeping him. "I was told yesterday in pretty strong terms they're ready to move on," said Marc Stein on The Dan Patrick Show. "They know this relationship cannot be repaired. This is beyond Pop and Kawhi meeting face to face and fixing it as Pop was able to do with LaMarcus Aldridge last summer. It is pretty much gone at this point." The Spurs are now open to trading Leonard but are not in a rush.
Nothing new, just morning talk: Kawhi wants out and he will be out. That's the last I heard. RC can't fix this and Pop's locker room isn't nearly what you'd expect. The vets' loyalty may have ran its course. If Kawhi stayed, he'd sign out of fear...he'd sign out of financial fear. Pop is one of the best coaches of ALL time in any sport. Period. But, countless players will tell you that despite his genius, nobody enjoys playing under is authoritative personality. They adhere to routines and Pop's mantra because they desperately want to win the chip' but Pop is the last coach you'd want to have a beer with. I respect the hell out of him, but even a mild-mannered Malik Rose allegedly requested weekly therapy after SA gave him a fair contract. His career was never the same, once Pop took him out of the rotation. /random happenings.
Ears. Not the Spurs org. They are air-tight. If info is released through San Antonio, it's to distract or manipulate a bigger goal. That's how they operate. Now, Philly, on the other hand, uses burner accounts and libels/slanders everyone and their mother through SnapChat/Instagram and Thotte----I mean Twitter.
I love Bobby Knight as a brilliant coach, too. And because I grew up in Knight's turf, in his era, it was much easier for me to spot the same authoritarian ******* behavior in Popovich. I look for this shlt, because Bobby Knight's atmosphere is one of the main reasons Larry Bird quit basketball. Larry Bird would never put up with Popovich like Duncan did. There are many similarities between Pops and Knight, good and bad, (like offense style, teaching, love of control, love to embarrass reporters, no voice for players, stay in line, authority, Army vs Air Force upbringing). There are many fans who still say, no problem, as long as the dick coach is successful and doesn't throw chairs. I'm not that way. The sport of basketball was such a tradition in the small town, cornfields of Illinois where I grew up, we respect the game at multiple levels. One of those levels of respecting the game is that the players matter. The coach ego can be a dangerous thing no matter how successful he is. It was just a matter of time after Duncan retired (the calming lockerroom Rock and influence Pops needed) for this all to unravel, and the stories come out. Pops has an ego beyond the game....way beyond ppl like Rudy and JVG. He blew it with Kawhi, and only ppl who need to defend Pops like their love of the game depends upon it can't see that, and must blame the player instead. Same happened when ppl in Indiana and Illinois defended Bobby Knight way longer they he deserved.
