    Two things:

1.) You're making a rather large assumption that a player with a chronic injury who has barely played basketball in 14 months is immediately going to return to Top 4 status, all under a new coach and new system after playing most of his career for the arguably the GOAT coach/system.

2.) How do you propose the Lakers get both Kawhi Leonard and two max slots? We've heard multiple reports this week from very credible reporters (Woj, Ramona, Bontemps) that the Lakers are looking to take on salary dumps for additional draft compensation, which they'd then flip to SA to make the Kawhi deal work. Between the Kawhi trade and Stepien rule, most of their draft capital would be tied up, so it's not like they'd have the requisite sweetener to offload the salary dumps later.

I was suggesting Kawhi and Lebron is enough. Third star would just be gravy and with rumors of veterans lining up to join Lebron in L.A. at a discount, I don’t anticipate filling out the Lakers roster being much of an issue. Injury concerns.....valid, but Kawhi is young and based on everything I heard during last season, the Spurs didn’t believe his injury was serious enough to keep him out. If I’m concerned about anything with Kawhi, it’s his attitude. Seems quiet, shy, very private and joining the Lebron circus in L.A. will be the opposite, and in general I don’t like the way it appears he’s handled his business possibly sitting out half a season to force a trade to L.A.

Oh, I thought you were mentioning LeBron/Kawhi in the context of luring CP. My bad.
