Can we have an option for his 4th or 5th year being as an assistant coach?

At this point we are better off giving CP the max and EG an extension because no superstar is coming here anytime soon. Unless we can trade. Anderson we are stuck with a bad contract for at least another 2 years. If HOU really wants to compete they would do whatever they can to resign their own FA’s and look to trade for better players at specific positions, PG, PF, and C.

    I’m with you on this.

I want cp3 to retire a rocket and play at least 6 years with us.

We finally got a legit top 10 player to pair with our mvp who’s not even 30 yet. We can’t let cp3 escape over a 5th year.

They can win the chip next year if everyone stays healthy.

Rockets have something like GS that can’t be replicated. Teams can try but no team can trot out elite offense for a full 48 min like us. We happen to have to only SG in basketball who can score 30 a game and dish 10 assists with his eyes closed paired with the best pure PG in the league who can still drop 25 and hit the open three while defending at a high level.

Everyone figured they could stagger minutes and play elite offense for 48 min (which they do) but the real question that has been answered was how they would perform in there 18-22 min together. The verdict is in and they actually perform better together than apart.

Now it’s about resigning Luc Ariza Capela and green and figuring out how to get value for Anderson even if it’s guys who are overpaid but maybe fit Houston roster better than they did on their other team.

Another versatile pf/wing like one of the Morris twins or Wilson chandler type guy would be the final piece to the puzzle imo.

I don’t care if the lakers land Lebron and kawi with Lonzo and scrubs. They still won’t beat Houston or GS.

The rockets ad the warriors have built teams not thrown talent together surrounded by low level guys.

Even though you don't want the beans and rice, sometime you buy the enchilada plate - because that's how you get the enchiladas.

If CP3 wants to be here and was promised a max contract, we have to give it to him. Reneging on a deal with the head of the players union would screw us as a preferred destination for a decade. I hate giving him more that 3 years, but if you have to you have to. We need to wait until Morey works whatever other magic he can to improve the roster and then sign Paul, signing him now would absolutely cripple any flexibility we have at all to sign a decent free agent like Tyreke Evans or Will Barton.
