So, what is the option moving forward. Fire Morey? Replace him with who? Who is available that is better at his job? The Rockets just won 65 motherf-ing games and took one of the top 3 teams of all time to 7 hard fought games. Name another championship level team that has cap space to sign elite players without a series of moves. The CBA is a reality for every team.

Houston would have been the perfect place for him to gear down. He could play off the ball, coast through the regular season, not have to devote mental energy dealing with crappy owners and subpar coaches and front offices, age gracefully, and win a championship or more. Yet he's not ready to accept that he needs to find a glide-path to make peace with Father Time and I doubt he ever will be. I suspect that as he gets older and his physical skills start to diminish, the more difficult and rigid he will become. The contrast with CP3 couldn't be greater. Harden was likely correct: LBJ is not going to accept the role his age will require and because of that, his coming here would create some major tensions.

Man, if his head was in sync with his age, we could have rolled. Oh well.

Sort of agree, we were one small piece away from the title not LBJ piece away. Morey will get that piece done.

LeBron has controlled the drama in the NBA since he went to Miami
Everything has happened before of what he did. Kyrie leaving, other super teams forming etc

If LeBron came here, he would want to control the narrative

LA has Luke Walton and Magic , who's job is just to get superstars there

LA is the easier path for him to have full control. They are the ones who need him to make the franchise relevant again.
