People here already know when healthy, the rockets are the best team in basketball. But for those outsiders (say Laker fans) that think Lebron's next team will win the next title, think about this.

A younger Lebron James, with all stars Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving plus former all star Kyle Korver and 6th man of the year JR Smith couldn't win more than 1 game in the 2017 finals against a Durant led Warriors team.

Obviously, Lebron's move was always going to be a family choice a place that winning a ring wasn't just the priority...nothing wrong with that.

I'm excited to find out what new moves Morey has in store to strengthen our Rockets team.

Can we stop being salty for a man doing what’s best for himself and his family?

If you carefully read my post, there's nothing salty. Just an observation that Lebron had a great team already in 2017.

GS will beat them( LAL). The Rockets need to make moves to add depth. If DM is successful in doing that, our guys can challenge any team in the league.

A great team that had to go to 7 to beat a Boston team playing without Kyrie and Hayward?

A great team that got swept in the finals?

apparently this observation downplays adding an mvp durant.

That 2017 team is gone, Kyrie is gone and had to rely on the Donkey being suspended.

Ehhhhh I dont know man..... If Lebron and KL end up in LA I can see a few FA signing cheap deals and build a nice little roster

I didn't say the 2017 was still around. I'm pointing out that Lebron had 3 other all stars on his team at one time and didn't even come close to winning the title against Durant.

it took clev to come back down 3-1 to beat a KD less GS team 2016. You add the mvp to that same GS team the very next year, which raises a championship team's ceiling that much more, while Clev stood pat with their team. why would it be a surprise that Clev only got a game off to GS team adding mvp kd in 2017. Theres a reason why GS's ceiling is miles ahead of any other team

that same team clev team was within 1 game of losing 4-1 in 2016. yeah you definitely down played KD being added to an already championship team

For the sake of argument, would a older Lebron and a questionable KL better than a healthy Kyrie and Love with Smith and younger Korver? I don't think so.

Leonard is on a completely different level than Irving. That’s two top 5 players before any other moves are made. He probably doesn’t want anymore finals losses on his resume. Now he’ll either win a championship or not make it to the finals, which a lot of people think is better than losing in the finals every year.

Still not downplaying KD and the warriors. Warriors even better in 2017 and 2018 are the bar. Just pointing out even though Lebron had his all stars, something he'll prob do in LA, his time won't beat a wariors team or rockets for that matter.
