    It's not about dismissing the reports. It's that LA seems like such an unpredictable situation. I could at least understand the appeal of Boston or Philly.

    Depends on if the Lakers end up with both. That’s still very much up in the air. Because LeBron and George opted out, the Lakers can only get Kawhi via trade, meaning the Spurs have to play ball. Far from a guarantee.

    I think Lebron to LA is inevitable, but that move makes Lebron irrelevant from a basketball standpoint given that he won't be on a contender anymore.

    Yup, that's what this signifies to me. Eases the pressure on LA. Allows them to not put in ALL of their chips for Kawhi. LeBron doesn't commit to LA, but at the same time, helps their leverage.
