    Ariza can't create off the dribble I'll rather have Tyreke Evans who can play three positions.. Ariza as a backup or SNT.

    Evans to do what Ariza's role on this team. no thanks. that would be a disaster

    Evans = offense
    Ariza = defense

    pretty much, which doesn't translate well to evans as his replacement. his ideal role would be off the bench if he was on this roster

    I don't like Tyreke as a signing.

    I'm not sold on his 3 point shooting or defense.

    but he can create off dribble and his inside scoring is great and his 3 is a lot better.. plus he can give cp3 and harden a break... He can play all three positions

    The Rockets only have their taxpayer MLE. You aren't going to get a complete player at that rate. The best you can hope for is a player that provides a "key skill." Evans ability to create off the dribble would be welcome in the Rockets offense. It is what they do.

    he isn't reliable with either. What he does best would be something the rockets would use off the bench. but yeah Im not a fan of signing him either.

    Plus it seems a team like indy is willing to throw some $ at him and a high priority as far as FA. they can also offer him a bigger role

    It doesnt matter vs golden state. You have to have a switching defense . Ariza can guard multiple positions. Evans would be useless.

    For anyone that hasn't watched Tyreke Evans, the best aspect of his game is that he can guard 4 positions. Under Monty Williams it was his single greatest strength as a player. Jeffy B would do wonders with him. He is a gigantic guard.

    just no. completely disagree. He is a listed questionable 6'6" 2 guard. He isnt going to be able to switch on to durant. Ariza is listed 6'8" with long arms. Need the length vs GS.

    Tyreke Evans Defensive Rating Last year was 110.2 (121st in the NBA) on a team and style built more defensively and slower pace. No thanks

    An Evans signing would be mainly for his play making and driving abilities. Wouldn't be for his defending although he can hold his own against 1-3. I remember when we signed Tucker I was a bit displeased because I felt like he was too short. At this point it doesn't matter. Durant will get his shot off against anyone. Having a true 3rd play maker would help tremendously especially with Paul needing rest during the season.

    Evans isn't coming though. He'll command much more, and would likely prefer a long term deal.

    6'6" SG, with a 6'11.25" wingspan and an 8'8" standing reach. Go watch him on those Monty Williams teams. He was that teams AAA defender.

    Again, for those that haven't watched him, he can play proficient defense on any team that isn't tanking. (Memphis)

    watched him plenty, hes not someone to be relied upon for defense. His mentality is focused more on the offensive end. Not defensively. that doesn't just change all of a sudden

    On Memphis or the Kings sure, but who was locked in defensively on those teams? On the 45-37 Monty Williams team, he was locking. down.

    doesn't matter. each player has his own way of playing the game. Evans isn't going to all of a sudden be some defensive first player. The team has nothing to do with it. hes never been some lockdown defender. stop trying to spread bad information.

    In regards to Rockets Trevor Ariza’s free agency, this line from Zach Lowe....

    “Incumbent teams should be able to retain solid veterans on multiyear deals by offering them a little more than the near-$9 million midlevel.”

    So, something like 3/30 could make sense.
