You are assuming a mass shooter thinks rationally. He posted the message on his instagram a day before the shooting. I'm not saying he is responsible but I don't see how posting that does good for anyone. You never know how people will react to things, especially someone mentally unstable enough to gun down journalists

No, I'm not assuming that the shooter thinks rationally, but you are attempting to make a link that doesn't exist at all for political reasons. He had a personal beef with the place he shot up, it has nothing to do with anything a British provocateur said to troll a hack journalist who was planning on writing a hit piece on him.

I mean, we know for a fact now why he did it, there's really no excuse in pushing false narratives.

I never pushed a false narrative. I only embedded a tweet. Interesting how defensive you get over someone like Milo. Good luck with that

It really wouldn't have mattered who you would have picked to attempt to link to this I would have taken exception with pushing obviously false narratives. Even if you don't acknowledge that's what you were doing.....it's what you were doing.

You can see whatever you want. Even if there is no connection in this instance, I don't see how posting these kind of things does any good for anyone. Can we at least agree on that or is there some merit in the message that people fail to see? You never know what will trigger people. Its not like it hasn't happened before. https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...zzagate-gunman-sentenced-to-4-years-in-prison
You can't assume mentally unstable people in this country are going to think rationally when they read things so maybe don't post stupid threats online and then say it was a joke? Frankly your response to the tweet is mystifying to say the least but that doest really surprise me.

Former FBI agent and current journalist Asha Rangappa answers the question "How people that shouldn't get guns get them" in this tweet thread. Points to holes in the current systems and in doing so offers up a few reasonable solutions...

If the shooter was inspired by his words, Milo will be sued by the victim's families

That doesn't mean that isn't the thing that convinced him to do it.

People shouldn't be encouraged to kill, even if you are joking.

I was about to reply we can explain your statement and that you are deflecting from my original question and not trying to answer it.

Then I went ahead and googled it anyways.

The studies I read show that cop killings in 2012 and onwards are mostly by white males too. Google it for yourself and do research. So... now what?

I don't disagree, I think it was irresponsible of the hack journalist to print that private message that he knew was just trolling nonsense.....but he decided that it was best for his hit piece, no matter what message it sent.

It's not really "complex", banning things or making things illegal don't make those things go away. That might blow the minds of some of our friends on the left, but it should just be common sense. If there is a desire for a thing, people will find a way to get that thing.

Typical cop out response from Bobby.

On the same token, we can assume all stubborn gun nuts like Bobby are mentally unstable. They're out of touch with reality. They cray cray and dangerous to society.

I think the biggest issue with Bobby is that he has succumbed to "dark web intellectualism"... In other words it's faux "intellectualism" where when one doesn't have any discernible skillsets that would merit being an "intellectual" therefore thry overly compensate for their desire to appear intellectual by acting as if lacking empathy is a trait of an intellectual. "I'm rational and smart because I don't use emotion" is a common phrase from them. They worship individuals like Ben Shapiro and Jordan Peterson .

Objectively speaking, die-hard gun nuts like Bobby are literally crazy and have no place in society.

Will be interesting to see what a civil court says about his liability. On one side of the courtroom, grieving families. On the other side, a loudmouth hater who publicly called for the murders.

I am quite familiar with people infatuated with firearms during my 4 years as a Marine grunt. I'm not necessarily going to call all of them crazy.

For most gun enthusiasts it's a hobby. I can admit that I have a unhealthy hobby relative to society. I love high revving combustion engines in fast cars. Not necessarily the healthiest thing for our environment.

It's a hobby for them. I'll admit, shooting firearms can be fun. Collecting them can be fun also. It's a mechanical object that shoots high velocity projectiles and they look cool. It's a child like infatuation with them akin to me having a child like infatuation with a Posrche 911 GT3.

I personally don't feel comfortable calling everyone infatuated with firearms as a hobby "nuts". I used to be comfortable with it but I think I better understand their perspective.

However that doesn't mean that some of them can't be highly irrational such as not desiring having federal background checks for all sales. That's stupid.

There are also some within the gun hobby world who have delusions of grandeur forming faux militias in the middle of South Dakota prepping for the next major Muslim terrorist attack in Bismark, ND and having fascinations of saving a hot blonde from the brown Muslim scourge. THOSE people are nuts and should be heavily monitored.

Not sure to whom you're posting, but it sound like you don't see how reading those kind of things does any good for anyone. Sounds like a conclusion I once reached as well.
