Of course, but is that worth denying the Lakers the chance to legally meet with you (or representatives) and give them extra time to snag an extra allstar? Is it worth losing the 1+1 contract, where you can still run it back for one more year, much like the opt in, but without the assurance of another year (where he can opt in + trade, or god forbid a career threatening injury occurs and he has another year of salary secured)? Doubtful.
Because he's going to get the max anyways A) One star isn't even close to enough B) The one star they could get isn't a certainty C) Theres almost no chance at a 3rd star
Houston is either getting serious consideration or he is using the opt in as leverage/pressue against LA. I tend to think it's option A.
If LeBron is truly a high IQ player and wants to play with other high IQ players there's only one option that even remotely makes sense.
Woj’s report is that if the Lakers trade for Kawhi LeBron will commit. That’s what my statement is predicated on. If you refuse that premise, then sure. I’m operating as if that is the most concrete piece of news we’ve gotten thus far. 3rd star isn’t on the table, and never said as much.
Just saw on yahoo,a clip saying Kawhi has reached to Lebron according to a source, saying he wants to play with him. Kawhi apparently tried to sell his incredible defensive ability to take off the pressure from Lebron. I don't think Bron will be entirely sold on that right now, since Kawhi isn't entirely fit.
Man if you’re the lakers thinking a trade could essentially get you Kawhi AND lebron and you look up and down your roster... what in the f are you holding onto? There has to be some major reluctance from the spurs to do this.
I like how at around noon this thread was moving a page per 5 mins. Now it’s down to a page every hour and change
I like it too. With the rumors of LA trying to hurry up on a trade, less activity means they weren't successful. If a miracle happens and we got him then there would be a new thread. At least how I see it.
A) Lakers are really far from a deal with the spurs 1. Spurs want more picks the Lakers don't have. 2. If the Lakers manage to get the pick from Denver they'll have to take on a bad contract in return which squeezes them enough to make it impossible for a 3rd star. 3. The Lakers aren't winning **** without a 3rd star B) woj has always been on the outside when it comes to lebron
Anyone post the Kelly Iko tweet yet? Kind of comes off as a troll tweet to me but if you’re a Rockets’s fan and are looking for any sign of hope then you may find it hopeful
Seeing things get re-posted on CF hours/days after being posted originally makes me realize how pathetic I’ve been with my constant F5ing
