Should have waited until after the awards show to befriend Travis Scott again, his performance was literally the worst performance I’ve ever witnessed.
I'm referring to LZ's last week on 790 summer '17 where he said what he always wanted to; Harden quit on the team and it's possibly a bad idea to max him out. I got the feeling he couldn't say that or couldn't give his full opinion on the subject while working for ST 790 and had nothing to lose once he was out the door.
Lance z will be kissing Harden's butt if he brings a championship home to Houston. Reporters were all on Hakeem when he didn't get it done. I bet if someone was really bored they could find some dirt on lance. No one is innocent and an angel. He's entitled to his opinions and ability to bs for ratings.
Trying to position himself as the good guy in this situation is disingenuous at best. "I know some bad, bad ****, but I'm above outing it." Suuuuuure. Whatever you say.
I have suspected for a long time that Harden has "substance abuse" issues. How bad, who knows. At times he looks "loaded." I know many NBA players smoke weed, but some conceal it better than others. On occasion, Harden has looked stoned even in games. He is obviously so skilled he can mask it with outstanding regular season performances. But chemicals have a way of "catching up" with you. Better to keep it clean and sober. His private life is his business, but when it affects his on-court performance I think he should be more responsible. My opinion is not like off the wall, there are a number of videos floating around that make the same point and many of you have seen them.
This, Now that the draft is long gone Zierlein has not much of anything to do until training camp so he’s trying to stay relevant. Pretty much a Chris Broadside b**** move of the highest order.
Thats just not true LZ is one of the biggest Rockets fans in the media and always has been. He is a fan of all the teams but he isn't blind to not criticize when they make dumb moves.
I don't have anything against Lance. I have listened to him a lot and the others more so, therefore I am not trying to make some point based off one instance and I didn't hear this one other than read this thread. Not everybody is the same amount of something so don't take everything as absolute. I think the bigger picture here is that they don't like Harden. I have heard Lance say nice things about the team and the other players. He just doesn't like Harden and that is a common theme with all of them. For years when the Rockets did well they downplayed the team at times and that was focused on making digs at Harden. I don't think that is coincidence. I would argue that Faour and Hoffman are the greater offenders and it is just this instance that set everybody off. They're allowed to have opinions and so are we. I don't have some major problem with it other than making an observation after listening to them virtually every day up to this year since Harden got here. I think we can all agree that in general, re Frank Isola and others, that the media doesn't like Harden.
They don't like the iso ball that the Rockets play, but most basketball fans don't. Its not enjoyable to watch and to me the team plays better when the ball is moving and everyone is involved.
Agree and I think they also have a problem with the FTs but the Harden thing is personal. I am not a fan of the straight ISO either. I think that towards the end of the season they got stagnant because they previously only used the ISO for end of quarter/game situations earlier in the season and during streaks to control possessions and shut off the quick 3 offense. I wanted to see more variation in their approach where they could play more 3P free ball at times especially early in 2nd half to get a rhythm before hoisting 3s. I always enjoyed watching the Spurs movement especially against Miami in the finals.
Dumb moves like obtaining an MVP player for the team? Or dumb as in only getting 3 wins against the Warriors when no other team could win 1 against them? I don't know this guy well but what's his criticism here? Harden kills babies in his spare time that we don't know about but he can't talk about it for some reason?
I am talking other teams they have Morey on all the time and they seem to be pretty buddy buddy with him so the Rockets aren't criticized on personnel moves like they do towards the Texans. There isn't much to b**** about now when it comes to Rockets and Astros because they are doing a good job of putting a contender on the field/court. I am not sure what the thing he was referring to about Harden unless it goes back to Moses Jr and what really went down and I doubt anyone in the media would be crazy enough to put that out on social media.
Rockets also got lucky when Bosh turned them down and they didn't match Parsons offer sheet. It could have been a disaster salary cap wise if that would have happened.
