Mascai went yard in the DSL today, his 4th on the year, ties him for 5th in the DSL. The fact that he's primarily been a 1B is a bit of a red flag, but he's off to a good start offensively.

While happy for Yuli and family it still is shame since he has been on such a hot streak and hate losing his glove at first.
I wouldn't think so, but Reed got 6 PA last season and was never heard from again, even when rosters expanded. I get the feeling this year will be similar if he doesn't tear it up immediately.
Odd to call up Reed for 3 days considering White is already on the roster. I assume they see a need for a lefty bat over the next 3 games but still seems odd.

Hmm. I like the AJ Reed call up... BUT I'm getting the feeling this 3-day trial (longer if White struggles, gets hurt, and/or Reed goes off) is just for sweetening his trade value. What a time to be alive. He could prolly start on 5-10 MLB teams.
I just don't know what to make of this guy. He may surprise and be one of the very few RHP who make a career without a fastball, but I wouldn't bet on it.
He'd have to have a heck of a 3 days to affect his trade value much. White will likely go down soon as well, with Smith doing a rehab assignment tomorrow.
