That bottom of the order looks dead sexy amirite. I just don't get it. Why does Marwin have to start every game, and why does Marisnick ever have to start? Tony Kemp has a f**king .390 OBP and he's only started 3 of the last 10 games.
I actually like having him as a late game defensive replacement and a pinch runner. He's elite at both. We traded for Cameron Maybin last year when Marisnick was hurt, in order to have those tools available for the playoff run. That leads me to believe that Marisnick isn't going anywhere, even though his starts might be limited. And the team can absorb Marisnick's weak bat so long as we don't have a slew of other guys (like Marwin, Reddick, Gattis, Fisher, etc.) that aren't hitting at the same time.
every little fluke hit he gets will extend the seemingly unlimited rope he is being given by Hinch. Yes, I want him to fail so we can get him the hell out of the lineup. Sue me.
Why does Springer leadoff? 3-40, 7 walks though, so it's all good. Managers don't jack around like we do, is the answer to that question.
When Gattis was interviewed by MT today, he was asked if he missed Tal's Hill. He answered he wished the entire CF wall was painted ___ green. Didn't catch the blank, but makes me think he was thinking batter's eye.
I don't have a problem with fans leaning towards not affecting the game. Man, Bregman just missed that.
