You know some analysts basically never watched the Rockets when they say "Capela improved by leaps and bounds (thanks, in part, to Chris Paul importing Lob City to Texas)"

Most of Clint’s looks come from harden. He’s the one that has tremendous chemistry with Clint. When Paul comes back in the second quarters (after rest) he’s mostly on the floor without Clint

Yeah, Harden and Clint is basically like Paul and DeAndre, Chris had that kind of chemistry with DJ on those plays, with Clint it's not there yet, i guess the way he and James operate in that play is just pretty different, Clint is used to James obviously, maybe he needs to work with Chris on that.

    Amick:

THE ROCKETS AREN’T OUT OF IT YET

Unlike the Lakers, the Rockets have all sorts of reasons to believe they can contend for a title even if James doesn’t come. They’re still expected to re-sign Paul, who was part of the Rockets contingent on hand to celebrate Harden’s big night. Paul even asked a question in Harden’s news conference, not long after poking fun at a recent report that there was tension between him and the team.

As was the case with Paul last summer when he forced his way out with the Clippers, it remains possible that James could opt in to his current deal and force a trade to a team like the Rockets by making it clear that he’ll opt out and leave in free agency if the Cavs don’t comply. And while Houston is considered a longshot to land James, that isn’t about to keep Rockets general manager/newly-named Executive of the Year Daryl Morey from trying.

According to a person with knowledge of their situation, the Rockets are still all in on pursuing James – even if Harden made it clear that it was hardly a necessity. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the situation.

“We were a half away from the Finals, so I don't think there is a piece that we need to bring in or take away,” Harden, whose Rockets fell to Golden State in seven games during the Western Conference finals, said when asked what the Rockets needed to add this summer. “We're great with what we have, from top to bottom, from the front office to coaching staff to players, personnel. Our main focus is just getting better, getting healthier, and doing what we do.

“You've got to realize – like it's Chris (Paul) and PJ (Tucker) and Luc (Mbah a Moute) and all those new guys, it's their first year. Look where we got to. Imagine a little bit more time together, it can get pretty scary.”

The specifics of James’ process remain unclear, but there’s a good chance he won’t ultimately talk directly with officials from any team. As one person with knowledge of the situation told USA TODAY Sports, it might be deemed unnecessary because of all the background work Paul, fellow Klutch agent Mark Termini and their associates have done leading up to this point. Put simply, they know the lay of this land and it’s up to James to tell them which situation makes the most sense.

Only interesting because Amick is extremely reliable, especially when it comes to Rockets info. So if they haven't given up on LeBron, he must not have outright told them (CP3) no yet.

which also means nobody knows (if Paul doesn't know).

Right, it's interesting because of Amick saying it.

Still, if they haven't gotten any indication from Lebron by now it seems unlikely this is going to happen.

Watch the negative crew try to spin this.

That's not the point. Fans have been getting hammered by the negative crew as if we are the ones that want this to happen solely.

Clearly, the Rockets are still "all-in." There is a chance.. it does look unlikely but we have Paul working his magic still.

....even if they were given an indication from Lebron, would you expect them to leak it?

Probably not. I mean every other time they've been optimistic about a big move they've kept it under wraps. Every other time except for EVERY OTHER TIME that is.

People, it's Morey's job to not give up on LeBron. But he's not coming here. It's the Cavs or Lakers.

I highly doubt LeBron opts in.

Lebron James is a bit different. You disqualify yourself by not keeping it under wraps.

Now, that doesn't mean you won't start to see considerable smoke if you get a yes out of him soon. Tick tock. Tick tock. We will know soon enough.

There was some report about LeBron meeting with 7 teams in free agency, us being one of them. That can't officially happen until July 1st anyway (Montessori tours notwithstanding ;)).

I think you may have read where his agent met with a bunch of teams last time around including Houston.

Well when you think about the really big moves like CP3, or James Harden we didn't hear a lot about it till very late. With CP3, we always knew the Rockets were interested but the talk focused around CP3 to the Spurs or Celtics till pretty late, with Harden we heard very little before it happened.
