Very suspicious. I do KNOW this. All the optimism for PG to stay in OKC has been ALL from the OKC brass, NONE of it from PG's camp. I think this is all a dog and pony show. He is just doing this to make it seem like the hardest decision he has to make.
Paul George doing a 3 part, televised documentary of his free agency like he’s some franchise changing talent... c’mon son
Why are people drawing any kind of conclusion from PG doing a three part offseason feature? Like is there any reason why people think this must mean he's going to LA?
Correct. He's got to make it look like he hasn't made up his mind yet. Both the Lakers and PG have to steer clear of tampering. Leaked transcript of PG pitch is taking that to a whole 'nother level.
Who does a documentary on staying put? Like LeBron's gonna go on TV and announce he's staying? Like CP3 is gonna do a documentary saying he's staying in LA? Like Paul George is gonna do a documentary on staying in OKC? "I really love OKC and fishing spots out here. So much so I'm gonna pass on LA(or insert team here)."
"Part 1 will examine George’s rise to NBA stardom while the second part, debuting June 28, will follow him during his off-court pursuits as he prepares to build on his career. Part 3, which will air after George’s NBA plans are made public, will give viewers a look at what’s next for George and how he arrived at his ultimate decision. All three parts will be approximately six minutes in length."
That's reaching man. The decision to stay in OKC is just as interesting as him leaving for LA, which has been the rumor for YEARS
Frankly, the 'concept' of these self-created documentaries is pretty new ground. I'm uncertain just what 'rules' might be in place inc why can there not be a docuMEntary on staying put and doing a paean to the hometown of my (bankroll) dreams?
The real question is who the hell is gonna watch a 3 part miniseries about PAUL GEORGE? LeBron? Yeah, I get it. Harden? Sign me up. CP3? Ok, I can see that. But PAUL GEORGE?? I guarantee you if you were to walk into a random bar and ask people if they knew who Paul George was, more than half would have no idea.
