How much difference is there between these 2 things these days? Like for real? Trump rallies have always been safe spaces for racists - never more so than now.

 

Yeah, I hear you, but I haven't been to one. While I find 45 abhorrent, I don't trust little youtube clips of "worst of" of his followers and their behavior at rallies. I don't doubt the clips are real enough but I mean I like to leave anecdotal video evidence to the likes of RussiaLegend and those lowlifes.

We may differ on this, but I'm still not ready to write off whole swaths of people. I'm saying: sure the 10% of the population that is so smitten with the mesmerist that they would start shooting people for him -- yeah, forget 'em, beyond hope. But the majority of Republican voters who have a favorable impression of him? Not ready to write all them off. It's exactly what 45 and Fox (and MSNBC and CNN while we're at it) want me to do to help build a wall around that base. The less we all talk to one another, the happier they are.

 

Does half the country realize that the other half voted for Trump hoping he would be tough on things like immigration? Regardless of how you feel it doesn't mean half the country is racist.

He's absolutely a racist, the guy actually said in an interview that a certain judge couldn't be impartial with one of his cases solely because he was Mexican.
