That was a turd of a game to go to.

Hate how we score so freaking freely on the road and are always scratching sh*t out at home.

If anything for me the 1 run losses are the most frustrating.

A 2-1 pitchers' duel is a turd of a game?

1 run are tough, but we had chances. The Yuli double play with 0 out, or the Bregman oversliding 2nd. There are games where most teams don't have a chance.

Of course they are, because you look back at the dozen plays that could have gone differently and changed the whole outcome.

Speaking of, Kiermaier can get his ass back on the DL post-haste, with a strained glove or something.

I didn't read every post, but did anyone say anything about Gomez's effing bat flip and elbow guard toss after a f*cking WALK. Geez I hate that dude.

Stros have lost 6 of Verlander's starts, they've scored 7 runs in those losses, 4 were scored in 1 game.

I just hope he doesn't go Kevin Brown on a toilet anytime soon. I'd be tempted.

If only the opposing team pitcher had something to do with that...

Yea... obviously they do... opposing pitchers exist on the road too but we manage to mash them there regularly.... I can voice an opinion and be frustrated with a lack of offense at games I personally attend right? This is the game day thread for posters thoughts and reflections about the game...

Yea, I was there, it was a frustrating game. Tons of guys left on. A lack of clutch hitting. Yuli playing 3rd base poorly. No run support for Verlander yet again. Not able to score against a pretty weak Rays staff.

Astros beat bad opposing pitchers on the road. And sometimes struggle against good opposing pitchers on the road.

Just saying that Snell was very good last night, despite the walks. Sometimes its not just about the Astros sucking.

So many posters have so much angst over every move and outcome in a regular season game. Why do you even watch?

Of course we want them to win every match up and every game and have Hinch make every right move and never hit into double plays or blow a save or swing at garbage, but it isn't going to happen that way.

    This forum is mind bottling.

I'm not sure what you're getting at? We win some and we lose some. Everyone does. That doesn't mean its not frustrating when we do. We have a great team and I appreciate that. At the same time they can be highly frustrating. Especially at home where they under perform offensively. They under performed again last night. The game was there for the taking and they didn't come through. That is frustrating as a fan. Especially when you are giving your evening to the team.

I guess anytime a team struggles offensively you can say, "well give credit to the opposing pitchers."

How many teams can field a better lineup against a dominant lefty? Maybe 1, but probably 0.

This is a game-day-thread specifically to talk about specific games.. I don't know what else you would expect. Posters are going to blow off steam on a game-to-game basis here. If you don't realize that maybe this isn't the thread for you.

This isn't the "How do you feel in totality about the 2018 Astros thread"

Did they give you a participation trophy?

I know it was a frustrating game, we all were frustrated, but it was still a fun game to watch, no?

Of course it is, but there is so much angst being spewed. It's not like..."ah, crap they lost. Sure would have liked to see Altuve play and some of those guys get clutch hits". Instead of discussing moves and situations, there is anger and resentment.

I had a good time because I was with people who I care about and all that. A fun social experience.

As a more critical fan, I thought it was a frustrating game to watch with the inability to score. I think most fans considered it frustrating... Maybe I'm not nuanced enough to think it was a "fun" game to watch and also a "frustrating" game to watch at the exact same time ha.

If it sucked on tv it probably sucked worse to shell out gobs of cash and drive/park to see it.

We lose, score 1 run, don't support our ace who throws a nice game, play poorly on the base paths, poorly field some balls and continue the struggles to score at home.. people are going to be frustrated with that.

They are going to express that. I get it.

I don't think it reflects on them too poorly unless they go crazy with it every single game.

We do good things I make happy and complimentary posts. We do bad I make angsty posts.

Just part and parcel of a game-day thread IMO.
