The best hitting Prospects hitting at AAA in Tucker, Alvarez. Marisnick .177 hitter, I would rather McCullers hit over Marisnick if there are no hitters left. Very inexcusable lineup for Hinch. Yuli playing 3B when he looks so old at that position, White is AAA player at best, DH only looking so slow.

Perhaps the good news tonight is the Astros indeed set its longest winning streak this season. Another 12+ coming eventually in 2018.

Because 1 ab would surely ruin the remainder of mccann's season....

Stassi? The catcher that is leading all AL catchers in WAR? The catcher that is leading all AL catchers with a minimum of 125 at bats in OPS? Yep...bench him. How could stupid Hinch even THINK of having a guy like that in the lineup against a left hander (both starter and closer)? After all, Stassi has a miserable 1.065 OPS against left handers.

I don’t get the logic of a game in August meaning anymore than one in June...if you take care of business in June the games in August and September won’t need to mean as much...it’s a close race down the division right now it’s not like we are up 10 games

and kemp wasn't even starting, plus he's been great when he has been starting. had to come off the bench cause of marwin getting stupidly tossed.

Once again, even if your have your “doubts” about whether or not he should’ve been given the day off, I’ll trust the manager who’s around the guys every single day over any fan. I’m also guessing that if there wasn’t a winning streak no one would have cared about Altuve having the day off. And that’s the exact way Hinch should look at it.

this reaction to seeing a double-digit winning streak end is a bit... much.

What if they just walk him? What if you don't score? What if you play an extra few innings?

    What then?

that's why i said context matters. it's a combination of having a day off thursday, going up against a lefty ace, win streak, offense already trash at home, etc.

you can't just say i'll trust the manager every time (again, i think hinch has definitely earned his keep). are you never going to criticize him then with that logic?

loss isn't solely on hinch, but he didn't give us the best shot at winning this tonight. i'm already over the loss, i just don't understand why hinch can't get criticized.

We weren't gonna win every game left, so no sweat there.

But I'm way past sick of Marisnick. How much longer does he get.

White started (which a whoooole bunch of people have been clamoring for) in place of Altuve, in essence.
