You are making subjective claims about "serious violations" when illegally corssing isn't a violent offense. Judges in most situations that don't involve violent offenses don't jail the defendant or at least give an option to post bail. Crossing the border illegally because you want a better life isn't a violent offense. It isn't an offense that merits separating a parent from a child. Stop being a psychopath.

If they were detained for what? As I said, forcibly removing a child from her parents for a violation that does no harm to others is a cruel policy. It doesn't matter what, if people are detained while they have their kid with them and there is no next of kin to take the kid, then that kid is taken from them while they are detained......you know, EXACTLY what is going on here. Those children are "forcibly removed" and literally no one thinks that it is cruel, but since the DNC needs a wedge issue to gain back some momentum that they've lost going into the midterms, they've told their people that it is "cruel" when the same thing that happens to everyone ends up happening to illegal immigrants when they are detained. If a person is arrested for money laundering, that's a violation of the law that does no one else any harm, but you wouldn't find anyone crying about them being separated from their children, for some reason the tears have only been told to flow when it happens to illegal immigrants. I'm flat out telling you that the ONLY reason this is being framed as an issue is because the DNC is worried about the midterms. You'll see some people making political moves in an effort to win over the ignorant people that this is targeting from both tribes, but it's incredibly transparent.
Why would you cross illegally if you are seeking asylum? The moral hazard being advocated here is remarkable. Permitting illegal entry as long as you bring children is a recipe for disaster (as we have seen with children being trafficked for that purpose).
Most cases of money laundering you are posted on bail and are not separated. Also money laundering in large quantities is a far more major and neferous crime than a desire to run away from a violent situation because of a situation of your birth to a much better place. How do you make these false equivalences in your head? There is a simple compromise here if you are heartless enough to not want any more asylum seekers. Detaining them with their children and then process them and deport them. At least they can be together during the whole process and not traimtkzw the kid . Why would you unnecessarily traumitize children when there are clear and obvious other means?
Because the Trump administration had explictly said that they want merit based immigration while all other forms of immigration are an "infestiation" and have stated that most asylum seekers are "faking it".
