Woj: "CP3 has his focus on recruiting LeBron (to HOU) as much anything he's done in this league."

I wasn't saying CP3 was going to LA. I was saying LeBron "was" hoping CP3 would go to LA.

Where did you hear LeBron was hoping CP3 would go to LA? I don't get it. This hasn't been reported anywhere.

I was responding to John Harveys question. They are close friends. It was rumored CP3 could join LeBron in LA. I was just point out LeBron wants his cake and eat it too.

Sure LA has the glitz of Hollywood and can pay him and another star max however the Rockets were up 3-2 without CP3 and a lead at half time despite the bogus calls. LeBron comes to Houston if he wants his best chance to win the next 2 years. CP3 left LA to win, he is trying to get that through to his good friend.

From a pure friend perspective, if your buddy needed help achieving a goal, and you had the power to really make the difference, while also helping yourself in the process. Why would you not do it? Not to mention the revenge factor against the warriors who are openly taunting you, and rubbing that championship in your face.

For basketball reasons, houston is obvious, high iq veteran players. People who share and create for others. A coach who is extremely well liked by his players. A GM and owner who want nothing less then a championship for Houston.

For non basketball reasons, Lebron can live anywhere and still be the most marketable athlete in the world. LA isn’t know as a family friendly city. Houston is still a HUGE upgrade over Cleveland in terms of everything. And even if you are dead set on LA, he can come to Houston for a year or two first and ensure cp3 gets his ring.

Jesus, how stupid are these guys? The Rockets are not going to sign LeBron and let Capela walk. Gordon, yes. He'd have to be dealt. And he would have to be replaced. But do they seriously think LeBron would come here if he knew it would cost the Rockets Capela? Hell, I don't even know if CP3 would wanna resign if he didn't have assurances that any deal Capela signs would be matched.

How is this anything like Melo to NY? Even if we gut the team to get LBJ we’ll still have the reigning mvp and point god when he gets here. These guys are clowns.

SAS is just compounding bad sauces with a bad take. Truth is: if you're not GSW, then you need Lebron to win out.

Sure, we could have won, but it's tiring and almost sad that we're always "almost". Coulda, shoulda, woulda never gets you a championship. The real headline should be... CP3, unsatisfied with making the WCF, selling Lebron on a "hungry" culture in Houston.

Again, if I'm Lebron, I'm looking at whether I want to be on a 3rd team and go at 2 other legit contenders just to make the Finals, or be a part of one contender that has so much to prove in Houston.

"Houston doesn't NEED Lebron..." - there's so much bias and hidden misdirection in that statement. He wants viewers to know that Houston will have that contender status in 2019. What he's not saying is that we would most likely be the underdog in a series against Lebron (+2 stars), let alone GSW. It is absolutely necessary that we get Lebron, given he goes West. He's essentially saying... for the sake of more parity, Houston can give up their chance at Lebron. Screw parity in 2019. 2018 was the year that the NBA as a collective should've yelled for parity and cheered on the Rockets, yet there was scrutiny on our "obsession". Now 2019 they want to cry for parity and cheer on the Lakers to pioneer that effort? Nah.

Those two are the worst. I can't understand how they have a show. They just constantly throw nonsense out and argue about it like it's relevant.

That's exactly how it seems. I want to play in LA and I want who I want on my team as well.

The Rockets can absolutely win the title without LeBron James. But if they were to sign him(and presumably not gut the team in the process), they would be the overwhelming favorites to win it. Yes, even over the Warriors.

Think of it this way. Did Golden State need Kevin Durant to win the title in 2017? No. But getting him made it a foregone conclusion.

If LeBron is going to come here he's going to have to opt in. Doesn't that have to happen prior to free agency? In other words, we wouldn't go into free agency without knowing Lebrons plans (or at least whether he will become a free agent or not).

This image is a perfect representation of what I think of when I see any mention of that show. Just mindless blowhard takes.

Lebron ain't got no love for the Western Conference? Then let it be known. We know y'all eastern conferencers, we know where y'all play at.

I know this is what it’s been said, but I’m wondering why can’t it be a sign and trade also?

    Change his mind CP!

It’s against the CBA and it won’t work with our Cap. We’ll have to renounce Capela’s rights.
