Woj: "CP3 has his focus on recruiting LeBron (to HOU) as much anything he's done in this league."

    These rumors suggest two things.

    Lebron wants LA. Most likely

    Or

Lebron needs to show like he wants LA to get a sign and trade to his next destination.

Bingo, it really is as simple as this. This could all very well be posturing by Paul and/or Lebron's camps to manipulate a trade to Houston or he could actually like LA. No one knows for certain but you have to believe Paul and Lebron's camps know what they are doing when info gets "leaked" to Stephen A or Woj. I can guarantee that. Even if Paul or Lebron are the one to tell Stephen A or Woj there is a method behind their madness. These are 2 of the more savvy players that understand cap situations, trades, etc. See last year for how Paul and Morey orchestrated the Clippers deal probably around this time last year. Paul handled that beautifully so if Lebron does actually want to come here they can make it happen by this type of posturing and the threat of Lebron going to LA into cap space.

If I am Lebron, I would trust Morey to figure out ways to get solid role players and also keep the cap reasonable which did not happen in Cleveland. A lot of it was Lebron's fault but the GM/owner should have stepped in on some of those deals and said no to some of the contracts being offered. Also, I would not trust Magic Johnson either or anyone in LA in terms of building a contender. The current LA regime has not proved anything so if I am Lebron I would trust Morey and my confidence in James Harden and Chris Paul which is why choosing Houston would be a fairly easy basketball choice.

It's the Twitter version of First Take!! ESPN breaking ground on new ways to get clicks. Say both sides of the story are true.

The city is hungry. I think we could pack most of TC at his welcome thing. Nice turnout for Paul last year.. would be ridiculous this time

This is how I feel, it sounds to me like the SAS/Woj stories make sense together. Right now LeBron doesn't want to come to Houston, he would prefer LA. That's why CP is trying to recruit him. If LeBron wanted to come to Houston then he wouldn't need any convincing, it would already be a done deal. So LeBron prefers LA, but hasn't made up his mind, and CP is trying to convince him that Houston is where he should be.

Sixers? Sixers would have to give up something to get Kawhi. Plus Embid is always injured. Sixers have no bench. Celtics? I highly doubt Celtics with Kyrie would wasnt to grab lebron. Celtics would have to trade a lot to get lebron and kawhi. Either teams have very little chance to take down GS. Rockets are the most logical team for a championship.

Try actually reading my post before responding next time. First, I said the Rockets are a good basketball fit. Also, though I didn’t say it in the post you quoted, I’ve maintained a position this offseason that the Rockets are the best basketball fit for LeBron, and I continue to believe that.

Second, I never mentioned the Celtics getting both LeBron and Kawhi. In fact, I said Cleveland wouldn’t be willing to sign and trade LeBron to Boston because they are in the East, and LeBron wouldn’t want to go unless the Celtics dealt Kyrie. I also never discussed Boston getting Kawhi.

Third, I detailed two different ways the Sixers can land both LeBron and Kawhi. For one thing, they can sign LeBron outright, which the Rockets (and Celtics) can’t. Then, unlike the Lakers, they are in the East and have the assets that would interest the Spurs. As I mentioned, if they receive a commitment from LeBron, they can either trade Ben Simmons straight up for Kawhi or a deal of Saric, Fultz, #10 in Thursday’s draft and Robert Covington might be enough, too. A team of LeBron, Kawhi, Embiid, Saric, Fultz, Covington and whomever they draft at pick #10, or LeBron, Kawhi, Embiid, Simmons without a bench is not better than the Rockets situation, but they would be able to compete with Golden State. They also have future upside.

This to me means CP3 is willing to take a paycut in order to get Lebron but also allowing us to sign CC back.

I am sure there is some unknown deal made between CP3 and the Rox owner.

I mean what's the whole point of we get Lebron signed CP3 yet lose CC, Ariza and EG?

This is BB of 5 starters and bench. LeBron doesn't want to play 40 plus mins a game, CP3 too. Harden needs his break as well.

We may lose EG via trade for Lebron. Wish we could package ryno for love.

I want this trade to happen just so I can get the alert on my phone and see what kind of black magic Morey had to do to get rid of Ryno

We can re-sign Capela and get LeBron no matter what contract we give CP3.

No he won't, and he shouldn't. If he does take a year or 2 less, it's becuase he knows the market wouldn't pay it out, not becuase he's trying to get LeBron. The NBA is a soft capped league, the Rockets could pay LeBon and CP3 full max deals, if he took a pay cut the only think it does is save Tilman Fertita money.

I will never understand why fans want players to take pay cuts for the sole purpose of saving billionaires money.

all signs are pointing to Bron heading to LA which is strange because his past 2 free agencies were never this transparent

Bron is the type to move in silence and have the media guessing with no clue what he’s gonna do

We don't need a "favorable bounce," in my opinion. We had Oakland on the ropes before Chris went down at the end of game 5, and I think we might have still beaten them without CP3 had the corrupt refs not stepped in to weigh the odds in Oakland's favor during the last 2 games. Heck, if Chris and Luc had been healthy, we would have taken them in 6, in my opinion.

A lot of these 'signs' have also come from the media. There hasn't been anything solid come directly from LeBron's people. Just a lot of speculation/rumors
