What if I told you are simply incorrect and don't have a clue what you're talking about? If a US citizen is incarcerated for a crime and they have no family that can take their child, the child goes into foster care. I know this for a fact for reasons I cannot publicly discuss. If an illegal immigrant is arrested and held for prosecution, their children would go to family members if there are any in the US legally. If there are no family members in the US legally, then of course they have to go into government care. It's the same exact principle.
So much for the "it is the Democrat's law" excuse, so I guess they have to go back to the "what's so bad about taking kids from parents" excuse...

Spineless phony so-called Catholic from WI, House Speaker Pau Rian shared a Father’s Day post explaining that his children were his “highest priority.” “My life changed the day I became a father. Liza, Charlie, and Sam are my highest priority. Wishing all of the dads out there a happy early #FathersDay,” To which, john legend responded Seriously, f uck you. Reunite the families at the border and we can talk about father's day. https://t.co/bbG0gVqfzq — John Legend (@johnlegend) June 16, 2018 http://www.newsweek.com/john-legend...over-fathers-day-tweet-amid-separation-980338
LOL! Those are a lot of ifs. Most people have two parents. Many parents of young children have living parents who would be the grandparents of the children. They also have other family members such as brothers or sisters who at times will take care of the children. I know this for a fact because I work with families that have a member incarcerated every single day. But sure if it just so happens that all of these conditions are met: A parent is put into prison There is no second parent There are no grandparents who can care for the child There are no aunts, uncles, or adult siblings who can care for the child, The child is a minor then a child will go to foster care. All of those conditions are by far the minority of incarcerated citizens in the United States. So it doesn't happen unless all of those marks are checked. It isn't the norm. If someone is an illegal immigrant and they have children with them, there is every reason in the world to keep the child with the parents. It has been done that way for most of our history. There is no reason to separate the children. What purpose does that serve? How are we a better nation for doing that?
https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-pr...-likes-family-separation-policy-1257722435903 As a mother, a Catholic, nobody likes the policy of separating children from their parents, but "some adults are using children to gain access to the border." kellyanne conway rationalizes , the intellectually dishonest b**** ! https://www.nbcnews.com/meet-the-pr...-likes-family-separation-policy-1257722435903
That's the case most of the time when you are dealing with illegal immigrant families....also there's a big difference in that the child has no right to be in the country themselves. It's terribly unfortunate that so many selfish people would do this to their families, but I'm not sure we want to go around blaming having laws when people face the consequences of breaking them.
What you are saying is irrelevant. None of that addresses the problems of separating the children from their families. 1. What purpose is served by forcing these children away from their families? 2. How are we a better nation by forcing the children away from their families? 3. What was wrong with allowing the children to stay with the family while their case is decided? You've been asked these questions before, but I've noticed you haven't had an answer to them.
What purpose is served by forcing children away from their families when their parents go to jail? How are we a better nation by forcing the children of criminals away from their families? What is wrong with allowing children to stay with their families while they are in prison? You seem to think that these criminals should have more rights than any other, why is that?
Most children are not forced away from their families when a parent goes to prison. They are only forced away from one parent and are still allowed to visit with them. Meanwhile, they live with the other parent and/or other family members. Now you answer my questions.
Most children are not in this country illegally, and we're not talking about ONE parent going to prison here, we'd be talking about both parents going to prison and leaving the child unattended. My answers are self explanatory, no one wants people to do this to their families, but as long as they continue to selfishly put them in this situation by ignoring the law you have to do something with them and you wouldn't keep a family together if the whole family was arrested for any other crime.....so it doesn't make sense to do so in this instance. No one is forcing illegals to ignore the law and put their families in this situation, they choose to do so knowing the potential consequences for their actions.
Your answers are non-answers. So if both parents are committing the crime here, then the situation isn't comparable to children of American citizens who are imprisoned. So it would make sense to stop making that comparison and acting like the situations are the same. If both parents are here illegally, then why put the children in their own prison center? If you have to do something, then yes you keep the whole family together like they've done for pretty much all of modern history. Different crimes have different consequences. Running a stop sign doesn't have the same consequences as murdering someone. Seeking asylum or illegally entering a country shouldn't either. Speaking of different consequences... Most illegal immigrants enter through the airport. They overstay their visas. If they have children, are those children carted off to imprisonment centers as well? When the consequences of an action are unjust, you change the consequences. Putting unjust consequences into place is nobody's fault but the people who put those unjust consequences into place. You talking about whatever the parents did wrong is irrelevant to the consequences this administration has put into place. I'll ask the questions again. Please respond to them one at a time and answer the questions. Or just admit that you have no answers which is looking more and more likely to be the case the more you refuse to answer. 1. What purpose is served by forcing these children away from their families? 2. How are we a better nation by forcing the children away from their families? 3. What was wrong with allowing the children to stay with the family while their case is decided?
Again, there is no congressional law that is causing kids to be separated at the border from their parents... it was a policy enacted by her husband...
