TA is a FA, right? What is the benefit to him of a sign and trade?

A S&T gives Ariza more avenues to get his money from teams that are over the cap.

Teams under the cap are crap teams that have no use for Ariza at that price point.

I know I just mean a similar contract (8mill per), I just said MLE because it’s a bench mark salary that many comparable players of his caliber will be making.

All these reports are strange considering Ariza was a complete mess and in tears after our game 7 loss. Not the emotion of someone who just wants to leave and get paid, but someone who has a lot of emotion invested into this team and wants to win and win the right way. Amazing how every report in the media is the Rockets losing players and not having a chance to sign anyone. Typical.

Both of those examples foolishly thought they had something left in the tank when they clearly didn't and managed to fool a different team into wasting money on them.

Randolph and Carter account for $30m/yr. The fools are out there.

I dont blame Ariza. This is his last chance to get a larger contract and we can't afford to give it to him.

He's been our glue guy for awhile but Tucker is that new guy now but if Ariza leaves, we're definitely going to have a hole at the 3 spot.

Time to start looking for replacements if we can't land Lebron.

I just hope if he can't get that 50mil, he doesn't take vet min to join the Warriors. That would be a slap in the face to us.

This btw reminded me about Trevor basically crying after game 7, he probably tought about this and how big of a chance it was to win here. Really sucks, i love Trevor and would've like to win with him here.

He's just trying to force the Rockets to pay him. Typical tactic. Remember Igoudala?

Man on Man? More like 5 on 1... he guards everyone and anyone on the other team... the guy is exactly the man you need on your team to win a championship.

This - he is always wide open at critical moments late in the game and misses badly.

I think this is the exact reason why you can’t take half of your these reporters seriously

Anybody else think Khris Middleton is better than Ariza?

I have no complaints about Ariza going for money, we just can't pay him right now. He's been nothing but pro for us the second time around, a tot of big baskets in big moments and 150% on defense against the best in the league.

I still think Moute can fill his shoes when healthy and be even better. Ariza's getting old and clearly has lost a step on defense
