other than Kashmir, their material just doesn't do anything for me.
They have enough 'good' songs that I respectfully disagree. Similar to the beatles where there isnt one song I can listen to on repeat or in love with, but the sum total is noteworthy. Blackbird helter skelter the list is vast. Do you like phil collins? Been a big genesis fan, ever since the release of their 1980 album, duke. Before that i didnt really understand any of their work, it was too artsy, too intellectual...it was on duke where uh, phil collins presence became more apparent...i think invisible touch is the group's undisputed masterpiece, its an epic meditation on intangibility at the same time it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding 3 albums...christy, take off the robe... listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of banks, collins and rutherford you can practically hear every nuonce of every instrument, sabrina...remove your dress, in terms of lyrical craftsmenship and sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism, sabrina why dont you uh, dance a little! take the lyrics to "Land of Confusion", in this song, phil collins adresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980's, about monogomy and commitment, the song is extremely uplifting...their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as uh, anything ive heard in rock...christy, get down on your knees so sabrina can see your ass....phil collins solo career, it seems to be more commercial...and therefore more satisfying in a narrower way. especially songs like, in the air tonight and against all odds...sabrina dont just stare at it, eat it! I also think, phil collins works best within the confines of the group than as a solo artist, and i stress the word artist! This is sussudio, great, great song...personal favorite
A good steak should only require salt & pepper. I don't get why you put A1 all over your steak, either. Buy quality meat.
I don't get why Modern Family is so popular. I've tried watching it, but I don't find it that funny. And I really liked The Office and Parks&Rec, which I thought had a similar style, so not sure what the disconnect is here. Mitch Hedberg. Don't get it.
Might be more a "things you just don't like" thread, with a few exceptions like those who mentioned the bumper stickers they don't understand, and comedy somewhat. But generally entertainment, food, colors?! Not really get it or not things. I don't understand the advantage when driving, of leaning over so your head is upright in the middle of your vehicle's cabin. I'm sure it does offer something I haven't realized yet because I see a lot of people doing it, mostly in trucks... maybe comfort, or sight line/visual field thing.
Game of Thrones is good, with a few great episodes, but overall, it's overrated. I'm not a huge Zeppelin fan, but they do have more than one good song. For instance, this scene was pretty kick ass for a modern movie throwing this classic in there.
