I'm not sure about that honestly. Houston would still be a better team with Harden, CP3, Lebron, and Capela than LA would be with George, Kawhi (is he even healthy?), and Lebron.
If someone won't bulk in front of 30? million I don't see how some more millions will change hsi mind. So far it has always been pay the supermax and they will stay. Not in this case. His priority isn't the money at least the money from the contract.
Those 3 would give fits to any team in the league, including the Warriors. Things are looking up for LA.
His priority is getting to a better market for his brand. He went nuclear on the Spurs, it's amazing.
Yup, he hasn't played in over a year. Don't think LeBron would like to test that out. I mean, every time Kawhi tried to come back last year he got hurt again.
This is the worst thing that could happen really. I dont know what we are supposed to do, if that LA team happens we are done. The only way we could compete is if we get Anthony Davis LOL.
Not in the least, the Lakers with a gutted roster with Lebron, George, and a maybe healthy Kawhi Leonard is not better than the Rockets with Lebron, Harden, Paul, Capela, and role players returning. In fact it's ridiculous to pretend you don't realize that.
Another team to watch in the Kawhi sweepstakes: Sacramento. Kings have talked to teams about the No. 2 pick, per sources, and desperately want an established star. -Chris Mannix
Again though, it still wouldn't get him to the Lakers. He'd have to sign for the MLE or something to get there as a FA next year.
I on the other hand think that Kawhi has been receiving many calls from Lebron just before this one meeting. An orchestrated superteam. It will be the 3rd team he does it.
This is so kangz.lol they are going to give San Antonio the number 2 pick then lose kawhi in a year lmao
They would though. Harden is better than Kawhi, and CP3 is better than George (although age might be a factor). Also, Harden and CP is proven to work, Kawhi and George are not. Who’s a better big 3 isn’t the question, it’s whether we have the assets to trade with Cleveland over other teams (don’t think we do) and if Lebron values lifestyle and family in LA or Houston.
Those two situation were not the same though, George wanted to get traded to L.A, that's why no one who had the goods dropped them for him, at that time Oladipo was saw as a bad contract and Sabonis as a nobody. Irving wanted to get traded but he was fine with multiple teams, including Boston, that's why Ainge dropped the goods, or at least some of them lol.
