    Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Announces Hall of Fame Class of 2018

    Maybe not the biggest of news, but I'm glad JR is being honored. (I see that he was named to the "Ted Williams Hall of Fame" this year, too.)

    I think the Astros have retired too many jerseys. But if they're going to keep all of those, they should retire JR's, too. One of the greatest Astro pitchers ever.

    Richard almost seems mythical. Great player who's career and life were cut short.

    JR had a rocket for an arm; he literally terrified batters. I think some thought he could kill them with 100mph stuff. Things didn't end well for him; sort of like Stevie Franchise.

    Actually, Richard has recovered quite well from his early post-MLB struggles.
