That was fun. It's about time we've had an easier schedule to smack around. Seems like we had a tough schedule last month.
Jake's "greatest CF ever" level defense enhances Justin's ERA Jacob hasn't faced Jake. The good news is, if JV continues leading the AL he's still credited as ERA Leader, and, 25 Wins is still doable mathematically -- longshot, but doable.
We've almost caught up to our pace last season. 45-25, we were 46-24 last year. This team is gonna win 105 games, my feeling has never wavered much from that. Team has hit it's stride offensively and is playing weak competition. making hay as expected.
The biggest difference this season is Competition. The AL and Division look better.. while the NL looks worse. Astros could still win 110.. and I doubt any other team can duplicate
I can’t bring myself to root for the Red Sox even if it’s to help us regain the division lead. Part of it is the Red Sox nation hate, but mostly it’s because I just don’t view Seattle as a long term threat. I’m okay if they go ahead beat Boston the rest of these games as the Yankees BoSox are bigger threats in October.
Astros are in first, while half the position players were still snoozing on offense till now. Yup, the starting pitchers carried the load, but getting shut out offensively won’t win any games. Hopefully Hinch uses his long relief guys who can start, in order to give guys like Keutchel, Morton, and NcCullers rest. As they are looking to tire some, as the season plows through. We need everyone tested and pitching well during the playoff run... But I agree, Seattle while playing well doesn’t seem to have the rosters that Houston, NY, or Boston.
Seattle shouldn't worry us. Them giving Boston a few Ls wouldn't be the worst outcome in the grand scheme.
